I agree, Frontier was my favourite, and it was because it was original. Every other season just feels like a carbon copy of each other and I quickly lost interest.

@@SilkyCrow The first four seasons are the only ones I care about, but Frontier is special. It's my baby. Part of the reason why I loved Frontier so much out of all of the seasons is how much I related to these lonely kids. They were outcasts or had family problems one way or another, and really had a hard time connecting to other people which really really resonated with me. Zoe moved from a foreign country and had an extremely hard time time fitting in, JP tried to buy friends with chocolate and magic tricks because he thought it was the only way he could get people to like him, Kouji is afraid of being close to people because he has a shitload of abandonment and attachment issues from his mother dying, Tomoki was a spoiled crybaby who was afraid of everything, and Kouichi got double whammied by his grandmother dying and finding out on her deathbed that he had a secret twin that NOBODY TOLD HIM ABOUT WTF. Takuya was the most stable one there honestly, and even he had a crisis when he ran away thinking that he wasn't good enough to be a digidestined because he almost got his best friend killed. (Yeah, that was the fight when Kouichi almost successfully murdered Kouji which is also super fucked up.) I think every season clicks with people for different reason, but as a kid who also had a lot of trouble making friends and connecting to people, the Frontiers really resonated with me on a personal level that I resonate with today.

Frontier was my first encounter with Digimon the first time I remember seeing any of Digimon was on Disney’s Jetix and it was lobomon vs raremon episode 2. It’s still my favorite despite the fact that in terms of actual Digimon it’s probably 2nd or third from the bottom

People who hate it haven't actually watched it. I was hesitant to watch it back in the day because I was about 11-12 (a bit old for Digimon for a kid that wants to be cool I guess) and the concept with people becoming digimon also seemed ridiculous to me. But I gave the show a chance and tuned in when it aired. I became absolutely hooked and watched it religiously every evening when I came back from school. Frontier will always hold a special place in my heart, my last digimon season as a kid and I really loved it (I was officially too old to watch Data Squad since I was a teenager and Digimon was not cool then). Watching all seasons again as an adult, honestly I can confidently say it was the best season, objectively speaking. It has the best story, a complete lore unlike the others, and it has the best ending by far. Adventure will always be my favorite for nostalgia reasons, and of course it started it all. I'll always like Tamers too because it meant a lot to me too back then. But Frontier is up there as well, and again, I say it's the best season and that's a fact.

Right?! It’s kinda sad that Flamon and Starbimon are the only fully fleshed out Kid-Spirits, of which only one made it to the show. It’d be interesting to see what the others would’ve looked like.

@@MJAYMONONOKE Well Tinkermon is Kazemon Rookie. I think it would be cool if they just let Kokabuterimon Digivolve to Beetlemon and Bearmon or Spadamon to Kumamon. I chose Bearmon and Spadamon because they look more human like Compared to other Rookies. Not only that Leomon Digivolve to Lowemon. Because Leomon is in Every Season.

Since VR technology in Digimon has worked really well for the plots of Cyber Slueth and Hacker's Memory, I strongly second this suggestion!

yeah I like this idea a lot. for me the appeal in the digimon anime is seeing people bond with monsters instead of becoming them with 0 bond

@@Karn_EX Sad to say Frontier caused Digimon to be off the Airwaves for a while .

That's what Digimon Savers/Data Squad tried to pull off when it was released back in 2006. The main cast ranging from a teenager to an early adult (Marcus, Yoshi and Thomas respectively). Mixing heavier dramas that took place in the Digital World because a group of humans tried to explore the world. But yes, I too would love to see an ACTUAL adult partnering with a Digimon and shows more weight into the story that they're being placed in.

@@ielastrika Same here, the closest we’ve had for adult Tamers have been in several video games like ReArise, and the Cyber Sleuth series too

That said, are we still playing the Digimon Survive waiting game? 😂 There's no updates or news circulating about the game eversince, right?

There were those 4 kids that were being protected by an Angemon that the Digidestined ran into that could have been great candidates for those spirits. I'm sure most people who watched that episode probably thought that was going to happen.
