What a fantastic thing for an American woman from New Jersey to see the world like this! Young people need options. They don't have to stay put in one place. You are inspiring so many of our youth to expand their horizons. Learning about the world in book form has value, but seeing and doing the learning on your own terms really revolutionizes the educational experience. Thanks for doing this.

*With Western fuel shortage and squabbles against nations who preserve their own rights to keep their resources from being exploited by the West, these jaunts are going to become rare and rarer for tourists and more expensive. There are valid reasons for THAT.*

JOLLY, you’re absolutely right! I would love for one of the talk shows like Jennifer Hudson or Tamron Hall to have Maryjane on to talk about her fantastic travels. She could also become quite famous and make this her business, because she already films everything. A lot of the Public Service stations would be glad to have her on. Just like the guy who films all his trips to European and is probably a millionaire now, because they pay him to show his travels. Plus Maryjane has such a wonderful connection with folks she’s never even met, as she has that gift! Her videos are already professionally done!😀

One of the most beautiful country. The Moroccan diversity will blow anyone's mind. 12 years ago, I travelled from Tanger to the Sahara ( Dahla) and still carry the memories as being the trip of my life. Myself and my husband visited Marrakech in 2016. Out of all the countries/continents we have visited, this is hands down our favorite! I too was asked if I were Berber and the natives named me Fatima. We absolutely loved this place. the authenticity and knowledge we received was bar none! We visited the tombs and went with a local native to visit the Beber natives and experienced their culture up close and personal! I can go on and on about this trip......((sigh). I highly recommend visiting to embark on the rich culture, Moroccan leather, hammand baths, and authentic stories of the natives!

Yes Black Morocans so what? Even light skinned Morocans have strong Black features. Many look like Ethiopians Rwandese but have "lighter skin". I would be happy too fellow Africans. Mixed or Black they are continuation of the Native Africans living there for thousands of years.

Sorry but the berbers are not only in the Atlas mountains, but all around Morocco" Atlas mountains, Fez, Tangier, Rif ( alhoceima, Nador, Driouch), and so on. I would say all Moroccans are ethnically Berbers, some of them were arabized and others still talk in their mother tongue.

Yep even black Moroccans whom are mixed also have amazigh blood in them

Berber is viewed by many as a derogatory term and Berbers therefore refer to themselves as Imazighen, or Amazigh people in singular form, which means free men. Most contemporary Berber speakers are now Muslim, due to the large Arab influence and occupation on the Maghreb. Traditionally, however, many Berbers/Imazighen people were also Christians.

No, it's just propaganda, I am Moroccan Berber and I know my roots perfectly well, we are not black at all and we are even whiter than the Arabs for some. The blacks of Morocco are for many descendants of slaves unfortunately, do you really believe that a population can be replaced so easily if it really existed?

Right??! it's so weird. No one in the video actually talked about black Berbers yet the comments are just riddled with this. Is it because the video is by a black person and because of the comment by the Berbers that she may look like them? It seems to have sent shivers and a knee jerk reaction for "some" people

Morocco is on my bucket list. Who helped you book your tour? Are there multiple tour packages? Do they eat goat meat? Goat is very tasty. I was just shocked that they only served chicken every night.

This is really cool vlog of your experience in Morocco. Makes me want to go there. I know one day I will because I have a dance friend there. I'm from New York and saw in the comments that you are from Jersey. Hey neighbor, I'm from Brooklyn. I traveled a lot before the end of 2019. Will start traveling again. I will also document my travels. Great informative video.
