A couple misconceptions people have of the Incas is that they had no written language.. they did have written language they were able to record all of their leaders back to BC days... they also say the Incas did not develop the Wheel; they did this as well, however because their native lands are so variable and Rugged (with high altitude mountains and rainforests) they saw no need to develop the wheel further. Unfortunately and fortunately, you are wrong. The people native americans derived from were far more complex than what you understand. The southwest tribes understand this and maintained true teachings as the plains tribes enjoyed more of the spiritual aspect. Many indigenous cultures compose the identity of the north american tribes such as the lost 12 tribes. Artifacts proving this claim were destroyed by the smithsonian. The peruvians were a simplistic people allowed to exist in peace as their spiritual ancestors have existed on those lands for many thousands of years. However, the unique history these people have, enduring the onslaught brought on by the Europeans (eather in the hands of Anglos or Hispanics) is their experience alone as people that inhabited the earth we now call, "The Americas". Christianity nowhere explains that you must go to a different continent and subjugate a population lol. It was always about greed, something the Bible talks against. Some did stay in Alaska and Canada, but when others felt like moving on, they did. They moved on to become the 'native Americans', and every other group of people in the New World. The archaeology and genetic studies prove that humans migrated from Asia and Siberia, some time about 20,000 years or so ago. It's not really a scientific question up for debate any more, the evidence is there. As for "...why moved all the way down to harsh conditions in the Andean...", because they wanted to. You see it as "harsh", but people obviously CAN live there...and do. Besides, there are far more harsh places (the arctic for one) where people are able to survive, and choose to live. They moved there because it was too crowded or too controlled where they had been living, and that was open territory when their ancestors arrived. "...how could they cross Panama darien gap..." Boats. The earliest human sites in the New World are all along the coast line. Further, the dates of the earliest sites are before the ice-free time of the Bering Sea land bridge, similarly suggesting the first migrations were by boat, along the shoreline, where a lot of food resources are available. People only later moved inland to populate the interiors of N. and S. America. Besides, the Darien gap is not the be all-end all barrier it's made out to be. Not only have several groups of people driven it in a variety of Jeeps, Land Rovers and other autos, it's no where near impassible to foot traffic. There were civilizations in that area which built monumental structures, including platform mounds, plazas, paved roads, and stone sculptures. They got around in dugout canoes, made artifacts from jade, gold, and ceramics, and were flourishing until the arrival of the Europeans.

@@ukhio They usually speak both. Hispanic Americans will usually speak English to strangers of different origin, and Spanish at home. It's the same in parts of Europe. They'll speak Dutch, or Norsk to each other, but English to foreigners.

Why wouldn't it be the other way around? That instead of the natives moving from Asia to americas why wouldn't it be americas to Asia. One theory is 'culture' both mongols and natives have similar nomadic, cooperative, spiritual, non-market/money based society. Whereas China and India there was concept of richess acquiring for self. This was alien to mongols and natives (before they mixed) All of americas had this concept from North to South. In Asia it was only the mongols and they were in the minority. That indicates influence from west to east. Not east to west.
