She was lying. She's never had a black belt. You can tell by her demeanor. She does the same when protecting Hope. In fact that's something a lot of women do to make guys think twice.

Y’all this wasn’t a fight like they were mad at each other, Hayley was teaching cami HOW to fight/defend her self bc cami didn’t know how.

@@amemarrr13 doesn't matter Elena wasn't a black belt but sometimes trained by Alaric, if. Cami was a black belt that would mean she's a good fighter as a human which would boost her strength and skills as a vamp, so it was a lie

It's unfair fight. Hayley's a hybrid, she's super strenght from both werewolf and vampire side, Cami's only a vampire. :(

It's no different from how Elijah trained Gia. Who better to train you then someone you can't kill. Cami atm was the youngest, and by extension the weakest, in the originals so any vampire she would go up against would be stronger than her.

I don't understand what it is about English on this TV show. For someone like me, whose native language is not English, it's very hard to make out all the lines... Plus, they talk in very strange accents. It's like something I've never heard before. I know the actors are British, Australian... I know Daniel Gillies is a New Zealander born in Canada... But man! I think these accents on the show are different from any one of these. You native speakers, are they really, or my foreign ears get it wrong? I love Joseph Morgan's work on his character by the way. It's amazing how he really sounds like someone from an ancient time when he talks. I get that feeling even when he talks in real life (in interviews, backstage videos with cast partners, etc...)!

if you check out Joseph Morgan's filmography, you'll see that he often plays in TV shows/movies that are set in the ancient times. Which is why he's developed that ancient person vibe from him. Also because of that, it looks odd when i see him play normal people living in modern times, lol

I'm a native English speaker and yes, some of the accents on this show are a little weird. Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) for example is Australian and her American accent is very good, but there are still places where she slurs her words or pronounces something a little off. Daniel Gillies I could never tell if he was British or American in this show cause his accent always sounded like some cross between them 🤣 the rest of them I think sound fine, so it might be just a New Orleans accent that you're not recognizing lol
