Elijah and Rebekah were abused right alongside Klaus, and he conveniently forgot or ignored that in order to claim sole victimhood. Then, he became an abuser himself towards his siblings, and when they fought back or tried to find happiness outside of him, he claimed, "betrayal!" He never took accountability for what he did, it was always someone else's fault or he had an excuse for why it was OK.

I think klaus trauma was so great that it blinded him to the fact all his siblings could’ve been getting abused especially Elijah
