I just realized they used the same song during Camille's death when they recreated this scene, but a different version of the song. How poetic. Incredible. TVD and the Originals always kill it with the music

after listening to this song in background of this scene with cami i started shipping klaus and cami before they even had a thing for each other!

I like how they played out this song to be kind of the theme of their relationship. This version by the National strongly caters to Klaus and Birdy's version caters to Cami when she is dying. They are both broken but they are each other's ocean, like it takes an ocean not to break, so they heal each other

Love Cammi as a character. It's great she signposts Niclaus to want to be a better person and helps him reflect inwards rather than change him which is more realistic as a plot storyline. Challenging studying in that sector whilst working as a bartender, (which generally attracts empathetic and the latter patient people to it) and not wanting to rescue people...her style both inwardly (her personality) and externally (her fashion sense) is refreshingly honest, classy, and compassionate. I used to get annoyed with this song in the background...thinking it was cliche..." It's a terrible love..." but actually I missed the point...I now view it as about Niclaus rather than Cammi being called at the right time to fight and come face to face with fighting his own inner demons so too allow himself the chance of finding real love. A love of true substance rather than just another "something of substance" to amuse himself as he plods on with his lonely, desert-stretching lifespan. She helps him find himself which aids him to connect to the created spark of love for himself and those around him that we all carry within.

where can I download this song? I have searched the whole internet. There's one by Birdy, this one is by The National, but the music is different, there's an alternate version by The National which is somewhat close to this but not exact. Please let me know if someone finds this exact song.
