I love the touch that even his accent changes. Accents are developed by where you grow up and who you're influenced by, without any recollection or memory of either, he wouldn't have developed his accent

I love Elijah and antoinette not as much as haylijah but they seem like a pure, genuine couple and I love how Elijah is finally content and happy without the burden of his past

Fun fact :- Did you know that Joseph Morgan directed this episode? He also directed season 3 episode 17:- behind the black horizon and season 4 episode 4 keepers of the house. He is so freaking talented. I love him 😍

I really enjoy this episode. I’m not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually really like Antoinette and Elijah together. I think they they go well together. As sad as it is that Elijah doesn’t remember his family, I do like seeing him more free and happy. As deep as his love is for his family, I do think they are a burden in him a lot of the time.

You know Joseph Morgan (klaus actor) was the one who directed this episode. Partially why you didn't see him in the episode till the end also obviously to the fact that it was a Elijah centered episode.

Such an intresting idea to explore who he is without his family, he has been so thoroughly defined by them his whole life. Love Marcel's appearance. This is such a bittersweet episode, Elijah's found peace and happiness but lost any connection to his family. Antionette and Elijah are sweet. Elijah may not remember but he for sure still has the Mikaleson dramatic flair.

Unpopular opinion: Antoinette and Elijah were beautiful together, and this is coming from someone who's also a Haylijah shipper. He was truly happy with her, and there were little to no complications. I actually also liked Elijah without his memories, it's the happiest we've seen him be for such a long time. Elijah erasing his memories didnt make sense to me at first, but now I get it. Theres absolutely NO WAY that Elijah could live a life without his family. He even gave Klaus his word that he would not do anything to jeopardize Hope's safety. I feel Elijah was more likable season 5 than he was season 4.🤷‍♀️

It’s French, not witchcraft 😂 but it’s because it’s New Orleans and I’ve heard Vincent say a lot of things in French but with a weird accent and words I don’t know sometimes so maybe it’s creole.

I prefer Hayley and Elijah together, but given the circumstances, I'm just glad that Antoinette makes Elijah happy... That's all that matters.

the fifth season brings us a whirlwind of feelings, this episode hurts me, when we remember who elijah mikaelson was and everything he has done for the family and how he can become that man now, because deep down it is hoped that there is still something he can do your heart rattle and remind you where it came from klaus's look when he understood that he wouldn't go with him at all is very painful i need to be honest about antonette, i don't hate her, but i hate how she seems to have so easily taken hayley's place (we know she is and will always be elijah's greatest and truest love), and the way he treats of a passing love, oh if he remembered...

The title is not witchcraft Jer it’s french for "Don’t leave me" But when they speak french in the show it’s mostly rubbish especially when they are doing spells 😂

As a french person myself I recognize some of the words but I think there's some icelandic in their spells as well.

@@JudgeFudge57 I think the spells have Icelandic/Norwegian origins because Esther and Freya are Norwegian. They try to make the spells similar to culture. Even though the French might be bad, they use it a lot in this show bc they're in NOLA, like they used Latin mostly in TVD

You saying it’s all just pain really encapsulates the show bit especially this season and everything with Elijah. The Marcel and Elijah moment in the club is one of my favorite Marcel moments. I love that he is able to have empathy for Elijah in that moment given how much he dislikes him and just telling him to “trust himself” idk why but it always gets to me and it’s such a great moment for Marcel.

It's when we realize how entrenched the Mikaelson name and everything to do with it was in Elijah. They had to pretty much erase EVERY memory in order to make him forget. Only knowledge things remained like driving a car, speaking French or playing a piano.

(0:19) first of all: exactly you have to be a witch to understand french 😆 Second of all: that send me down a little rabbit hole... I just googled what the title translates to and from french into english google says it means "don't leave me" (which is probably what it is supposed to mean), but if you translate the french into german google says it means "lass mich nicht" (engl.: don't let me). To be fair it's just one syllable missing for don't leave me (VERlass mich nicht) though. More interestingly though: "Ne me quitte pas" is also a song (a chanson to be precise) by Jaques Brel and if you look at the lyrics it has the word "oublier" quite often which according to google it translates to "forget". Just found these infornations because of that witch comment 😆 Sorry I had to share that with everyone who reads this 🙃

I wish SUNDAYS could be SITCOM DAY so you could react to SANTA CLARITA DIET (zombie alert!), a really awesome brilliant show with ONLY 30 episodes (20min long) so you can finish it pretty fast! Joel & Sheila's relationship is AWESOME to watch, just love them so much! Drew Barrymore is such an amazing actress & we get the sexy TImothy Olyphant with his awkward smile in the perfect/worst situations... The beginning is a bit slow so please give it a chance, a few episodes and you will be hooked! Also WRECKED (Lost "parody") with 30ep/20min long is freaking insane! :)

haha, back to hating Elijah i guess. I'm joking of course ;) No, i just wish they didn't take away every memory from Elijah. Taking away his constant obsession with saving Klaus and his family would have been just fine. He could still have lived a good life. I think that choice was pretty bad and didn't make much sense. It was obviously a stupid choice because now that Hayley is missing and they need him, he doesn't care at all. From someone who really doesn't like Hayley and Elijah together, it still felt wrong for him to be with Antoinette.

You really have to watch legacies after this season is over... it's a legit crossover to the show this entire season... the first 2 seasons of legacies has so many cast cameos from tvd and originals. Jeremy Gilbert, Alarics old wife... Alaric along with his and Caroline's twins... and of course!!!... hope (duh) along with her family and friends. Lots of name drops and extended storylines from tvd and the originals... they even are bringing back Rebekah for this week's episode... we also saw Kai mentioned a bunch. Mombie dearest is one of the best episodes and makes you legit love the series. And they have a full musical episode that tells the story of damon stefan elena and Caroline! You would be crazy to not do legacies after everything was done.
