That still doesn't make his point any less valid... Hayley is deciding to put herself in the middle of a fight that not only doesn't involve her or Hope since no one has made a move against them; but a fight where she is seriously outmatched, she is jumping in the middle of danger against the most ancient vampires in the world who have a personal vendetta against the Originals who btw are very capable of handling this on their own and are damn near impossible to kill... Hayley can die easily and Hope as well. Even making the point that she is a Mikaelson now, that's still doesn't mean that she should be getting in the middle of this, she should definitely be on the loop, be vigilant about the situation, but putting herself in the middle of a room with vampires centuries older than her... What happen if Klaus goes down and then Hayley dies as well because she got herself in the middle of the situation, then Hope losses both parents... The reality is that Hayley has spend several episodes getting herself involved in this mess, since episode 4, even before Rebekah was in any danger. And you said that about "his own bias against Klaus and Elijah" as if he doesn't have reasons to dislike the Mikaelsons... To me there has always been pretty clear and pretty understandable why someone like Jackson or pretty much anybody who's last name is not "Mikaelson" don't like or trust them and want to keep themselves and those they love away from them... And about Elijah, he has every reason to be displeased that his WIFE is going out of her way to spend time with the guy she was in love with. Jackson is not asking for the world here... Guess who has been keeping and eye and protecting Hope every time Hayley goes off with Elijah and the Mikaelsons are dealing with this whole situation, Yeah HIM... And the point he is making is that Hayley should not put herself into a situation where she can get killed by vampires 40x her age, and let Klaus and Elijah, who can not die, do the fighting and torturing.

@@Alewaxon See, I agree that Jackson had a valid point for many reasons. But it's his unwaveringness to budge on several points that I take issue with. Even if Ancient Vampires weren't involved, he'd still find another reason to keep her from acting likes she's "one of them."

@@lucariomew365 And it's that so bad? Should she be like them?... We know that she is part of the family because of Hope, but even that has limitations into what exactly she and Hope SHOULD pick up or "share" with the rest of the Mikaelsons... Even if the originals are dealing with a much lesser problem that it is still not Hayley's business or Hope's, they are not required to deal with the 1000 years of enemies and bad habits that the Mikaelsons have picked up... In every ones eyes (those outside the family) it would be a tragedy if Hayley or Hope start "Acting like one of them" I know that the Mikaelsons are our main characters but the reality is what they do and how they behave is wrong and it would be a terrible thing for Hayley and Hope to be like them, they are supposed to represent the change, the exception... Just because Hayley got pregnant with Klaus baby doesn't mean that she now has the responsibility to fight the enemies that he spend a millennia creating and neither is Hope's... They are part of the family, YES, but all of this 'aspects' of the Mikaelson family that Jackson (and others) are complaining about can and WILL ruin Hayley and Hope's life if they have to continue to live their eternal lives in a constant state of danger and jumping from one fight to another.

@@Alewaxon Hayley is headstrong, protective, and clearly likes to flirt with danger. As a mother, those can be serious negative traits and Jackson pointing them out and trying to be a good husband. But the thing is, Hayley was never a "good" person and those are traits that she already had. They were just heightened by Vampirism. Just because they're the villains of other people's story doesn't mean she can't bond with them, which she has and she's accepted them for better or worse. Jackson knowingly married Hayley in spite of that because of some idealistic image of her that he placed on a pedestal. And now he's trying to conform her into said image. If he had his way, she'd only interact with the wolves and no one else.

@@lucariomew365 He is trying to stop her for throwing her life away for people that have lived 10 life times already and to think about her own life and the life of her daughter... People who without a question represent a danger or bring danger into her life and Hope's life... And the reality is that they are married, he is her husband, so whatever decision she makes or how she chooses to do with her life it should involve Jackson's opinion; her decisions doesn't just involve her... The same way you are complaining that Jackson doesn't see Hayley's point, the argument could be made that Hayley is ignoring her husband's opinions and points. I don't understand people who put Jackson as the bad guy in this story... His reasons for wanting to protect Hayley from the danger of her proximity to the Mikaelsons are more than valid, in fact, it probably has more grounds that Hayley's decision of staying close to them... The argument can be made quite successfully that keeping her distance from the Mikaelsons is much better for her and Hope that they idea that "Hope needs to be close to her family"... That family represents an insane amount of danger to her, so yeah, Jackson is not giving up on his opinion that Hayley is wrong for wanting to keep involving herself with the Mikaelsons and why would he? He knows he has more than valid reasons to think that way and perhaps more important: Hayley knows this to be true as well, she has known it from the beginning. SPOILERRSS And we know that Jackson's points about involving themselves with the Mikaelsons are proven right at great cost... And Hayley suffers the consequences of not listening to a VERY VALID point.

He's not manipulative at all IMO. He's just more responsible in regards to Hope than Hayley is. She's too busy fighting someone else's fight instead of putting her daughter first. That's what Jackson is trying to make her see. The Mikaelsons are not her family, Hope and Jackson are. And to me, him telling her it doesn't always have to be a fight, he's not speaking of him and her, he's speaking of her allegiance with the Mikaelsons. She doesn't always have to pick the fights to prove to Hope she cares for Hope's family, sometimes it can be taking care of her own first.

Yeah, Davina was one of the most sympathetic characters on the show imo. I wish she got more scenes with Marcel after season 1 cause that relationship was what really grounded her character and reminded viewers how young she was.
