The Originals - S1E7 "Bloodletting" - REACTION! 

That’s honestly one of favourite things about Klaus - he has a lot of character flaws and the show doesn’t really shy away from hammering them home. He’s arrogant, selfish and above all extremely paranoid, and that paranoia more than any other flaw always comes back to bite him in the ass. Whenever he feels like he’s been betrayed he immediately goes on the offence and all it does is make him look unhinged and pushes everyone away. It’s frustrating to watch but I also get where that paranoia comes from. Considering he was abused by Mikael even before turning, that means he’s lived his entire life on edge. So it’s become instinct to attack when he feels threatened whether real or imagined. Honestly the writing of Klaus’s character is so good and I don’t even think the writers intended to present such an accurate portrayal of what childhood parental abuse can look like in an adult (obviously heightened by all the supernatural hijinks lol)

The only reason Klaus needs human doppleganger blood to sire hybrids is because of the binding curse put on him by Esther. As a fail safe, in case Klaus ever broke his curse and became The Hybrid again, the human doppleganger would have died in the ritual so Klaus couldn’t use her blood to make hybrids. Klaus and Rebekah talk about this in S3 TVD, outside of the hospital, after Klaus successfully made Tyler a hybrid using Elena’s blood. The baby has never had that binding curse placed on them. As we saw previously, the baby’s blood healed Hayley’s injuries. The baby has vampire blood, passed down from Klaus. And with both parents being werewolves, the baby is also going to inherit the werewolf curse. The baby’s blood is in Hayley’s system, healing her constantly and as we see, can sire hybrids. Had Klaus never had his wolf side bound, he could create hybrids the same way the baby does - drink the baby’s blood, die, drink the baby’s blood again to complete the transition. It annoys me too how much Hayley doesn’t seem to grasp that she’s a major target for Mikaelson enemies. Hayley has learned she’s from a royal werewolf bloodline, she’s carrying Klaus’s (very powerful) child, and for all intents and purposes she is the newest member of the Mikaelson family. That puts a huge target on her back and she just doesn’t seem to think/care about that. Both Rebekah and Klaus, at different times, mention they need to put Hayley on a leash because she is always wandering off and getting into dangerous situations and I 100% agree with them lol. Originals still get affected by werewolf bites/venom. We see Rebekah in S4 TVD affected by the venom that the hunter Connor Jordan took from Tyler and put in the beer at Rebekah’s party (Klaus actually healed Elena from this wolf venom because he figured out the hunter was one of the Five, so if the Cure existed then Elena could be human again and he’d get hybrids). Rebekah experienced the hallucinations and everything but eventually recovered - since wolf (or hybrid) venom cannot kill an Original.

I think Klaus, at this point in the series, is incapable of managing a healthy relationship due to his paranoia which makes him see any disagreement as a threat. The fact remains that his paranoia is justified, spending 1000 years running from someone who wants to kill you can only make you paranoid (Mikael only had a white oak stake so, despite hunting down all his children because they were with Klaus, It was obvious that Klaus would die if Mikael found them.) I think Klaus wouldn't have been so angry at Elijah if he had accused him of wanting to create hybrids in any other way, but he accused him of wanting to turn his daughter into a weapon, like Mikael had done to him by mistreating and chasing him for 1000 years (from the flashbacks we know that Klaus was a good person first and foremost). I think Klaus is a lot of horrible things, but he doesn't want to be to his daughter what Mikael was to him.

Elenas blood neede only for Klaus case due to Esthers spell to lock his wolf side and thats where she unsed Tatias blood. So the baby doesnt need this to turn wolfs and drinking blood its just human blood (withch or wolf or pure diesnt matter they have blood) its just vampire finish transition

Klaus’ bite won’t kill Elijah but he will experience all the symptoms, etc. dementia and hallucinations

Klaus is warranted but come on. They didn’t think how would klaus know? If that were klaus intention to use the baby blood. He would’ve been done it. With all the wolves in the bayou to turn into hybrids. I disagree with you in this episode they did betrayed him not disagreed. Yes for humans we don’t get what we want but original vampire or vampires they usually can get what they want.

I’m sorry but I’m in klaus side , he is always plotting however he is never plotting alone . If he was planning to creating more hybrid he would’ve either did so or said so . Elijah believing and man who just kidnapped Hayley is ridiculous.

Ik that at some points to some people it can be hard to read klaus but its really aprent at 21:09 he had no idea at all about the bloods power.

What I don't like about Marcel and Davina is that they are so damn confident. To the point of stupidity. It's partly justifiable that Davina is a teenager with enormous power. Surely over these months she experimented, and even when her magic got out of control, Davina became convinced that her magic could do anything. And here are some old vampires. Yes, they are the first, yes, Marcel says to be careful, yes, fairy tales have been told about them all her life and generations. But she has such cool magic, and these are just old vampires. Why did it cancel her brain. The incident when she threw Klaus away in the church also affected Tim. What did she think this would do? Will Klaus get scared and leave? Naive. And Marcel. He has Davina in his corner, but she only smells witches. I can understand why he doesn't care about his life. At least two of them love him and cannot kill him. This does not apply to his minions. For some reason, Klaus gives him all this baseless impudence. There is a feeling that Marcel is confident that he has power. Not like “I’m dear to you and you won’t do anything to me,” but rather “I have an army, I’m a king, I can overwhelm you.” Ahhh? Any one of the Mikaelsons could just go and kill his entire army at any time. Marcel has no power here. I don't buy the writers' bullshit when Klaus wanted Marcel's "empire", his people. He had it when they met Katerina, it was when they were in New Orleans earlier, although we weren't really shown any other vampires, but it seemed like there were some. And when Klaus was first introduced, it was implied that he had people, witches, vampires, etc. Then it turned into nothing, which is depressing. I guess Rebekah might have believed that it was possible to defeat Klaus, considering how they all recently screwed up a group of schoolchildren
