The way Davina screams for Marcel and him fighting to get to her was too painful 😭😭😭

Davina and Marcel’s father/daughter relationship was so important for both their characters. It humanised them so much and I wish we got to see even more of it before she died.

Davina's screams with the music getting louder and louder gives me goosebumps every single time i rewatch this

While I'm glad Lucien was defeated, sacrificing Davina's soul was just wrong. Those Ancestors are pure evil torturing that girl's immortal soul. If Klaus says they shouldn't do it, they should have listened. Poor Marcel, after everything he's done for them his adoptive daughter was sacrificed. He has every right to blame at least Elijah and Freya and I don't hold that against him.

Never fully forgave Elijah and Freya for this decision, because while I do see 2 sides, at the end of the day, I think what they did was beyond selfish/scummy.

At some point throughout this season, Klaus became the most sympathetic character in this show, and I just can't help but feel for him. He changed so much and not just for Cami, but I genuinely appreciate that they didn't just make him turn back to anger and hatred after his loss but made Cami's character really "immortal" in the lasting impact she had on his character.

This season is so heartbreaking from Finn's to Camille's to davina's death and this episode it is so sad and for that reason this is also the best season. And marcel's reaction and him fighting for Davina because she is like a daughter to him and the betrayal that kol must have felt from his family is just sad

That scene where freya's breaking the circle with davina inside will always be in my top 10 favorite scenes in the tvdu. Whoever chose the music is a genius and Danielle's acting was so good here. Always gives me chills **chefs kiss**

People always question why Marcel was so mad at Klaus too but what they don’t realise is Marcel never heard Klaus tell Elijah and Freya to find another way. All he saw was Klaus defending what they did so in his eyes, that’s Klaus saying it was okay when it really wasn’t.

this is one of my favorite episodes. it was so intense and emotional. despite what others say , i really enjoyed davinas character and it was hard seeing her sacrificed. i feel bad for marcel too because he lost cami and davina. marcel stays getting the short end of the stick

you know whats funny, Marcel was saying those stuff to Kol about your family destroys everything they touch" but the funny and annoying thing is, Kol literally told them not to do stuff and they didnt listen. for example he said destroy the sermon they didnt listen, he said to kill Lucien when they first ever saw him, they didnt listen. they dont listen to kol and thats why almost all these bad things happen. love them though🤪😂

I never really liked Davina's character but her screaming out for Marcel and him being desperate to get to her killed me

One thing I really LOVE that this season focuses on is how we all know that the Mikaelsons will do anything to protect each other but at what cost? Is because it's for family make their actions justifiable? As an audience we love them and of course want them safe however protecting each other always comes at the cost of everyone around them and this season, particularly this back half have really starts to show the repercussions of that fact. Marcel's "I did everything you asked" when speaking to Elijah is heartbreaking because this season their dynamic has been really interesting to watch. I hate seeing Davina go out the way she does but I do understand both sides because it wasn't just that Lucien could kill any of them at any time, he was about to kill Rebekah and then Haley so it was a now or death situation. But everything about Kol and Davina just tears me up inside!!! They have such a tragic story and i love them so much.

Davina's scream sounded so real! Danielle's performance in this scene is 10/10.

I just felt so bad for Davina in this episode. The scream gave chills. It was wrong of them to do that, poor Kol and Marcel

I think we can all agree that Elijah and Freya were so wrong. I’ve had my issues with Davina’s character, but man, what a brutal death. Marcel is 100% in the right.

I was proud of Klaus and the progress we can see in his characters development. I will say that this episode was difficult bc I love the Mikaelsons but I was disappointed in Elijah and Freya. I understand that they needed to get rid of Lucien but Klaus told them to find another way even knowing how much of a risk Lucien was to their family. I get why Elijah and Freya did it but I wish they hadn’t bc it affected people close to them. Davina was important to Cami, Vincent, Marcel, and Kol.The scene between Marcel, Klaus, and Elijah was intense and you can truly feel every word Marcel is saying.

While I understand both sides of the story, Marcel has all the rights to disown the Mikaelsons & get as mad as he is. You can't just kill someone's adopted child and behave like it was "necessary".

The whole season 3 is amazing, but for the heartbreaking and slightly masochistic reasons I was waiting for the reactions to 3x19 and this episode the most.. so thank you for these. Davina's death combined to "Silent Running" by Hidden Citizens always gives me chills and makes me tear up, no matter how many times I watch it.. Danielle did an amazing job in that scene. Lucien's death is very satisfying to see.

This ep is always so hard to watch… but realistically, they weren’t going to save Davina over Rebekah, Klaus and Hayley. None of them wanted to do it, but they ran out of time for a better option- they were barely in time to save Hayley and Klaus as it was. Davina was already dead because of her own crimes against her people. Not that I fully blame her either… Vincent should never have manipulated a traumatised teenager into becoming Regent (and taken zero responsibility for doing so🙄). Just my two cents that literally no one asked for 🥴

I love Mikaelson’s with all of my heart. But after what happened with Davina I stand completely with Marcel here. I mean how much people has to die (especially the ones who not lived at all) for people who lived enough. I get it they are family, but it’s always somebody’s fault. I guess I picked a side here. But still Marcel should blame only Freya and Elijah here, not Kol or Klaus. It’s really not fair because they truly wanted to help.

Once elijah said, "to break your enemy, you broke your family", and we see it again happen by your own hands and freya, to destroy lucian, they destroyed davina and in the process, marcel, kol, and break vincent (that would be GREAT to have on your side in battle), klaus asked them not to. Dear jer, get ready for what comes in the next episodes.

Klaus kneeled. Can we just acknowledge the development? They went from hating each other to being partners. To putting away your pride for just a moment, for her. The king and queen of New Orleans everybody!

Kol is extremely right about two things. 1. When Marcellus ask kol for his family help. " Kol says " Do you think my family really gonna help. 🤔 2. Introducing Lucian kol is the one voting to kill him 🤔 lol gotta love KOL.

I hate how Klaus gets blamed for Elijah and Freyas choice. Klaus said No to the plan but still gets blamed.

This episode is sad but interesting and it shifts the show in a whole different direction. And can we talk about Klaus's development? He said no to their decision to hurt Davina and kneeled for Hayley, Such a beautiful moment.

And Elijah says “Marcel u are family” when Elijah has treated him like crap and So has klaus

The scene with Divina literally give me chills

Klaus played that conversation with Marcel wrong. He should have gone by himself, apologized, and said he told Elijah and Freya not to do the spell. I know their family will always stand together, but saying they had no choice just wasn't true and Marcel knows it.

this is by FAR the best acting we have seen from Davina/Danielle !!

That scene of Davina screaming for Marcel who was trying to save her feels like a poetic parallel to the first time he did- the flashback of Marcel saving Davina from being sacrificed by the elder for the Harvest Ritual. 18:55 I loved Lucien as a villain. I thought you’d enjoy him more, but I guess not, “ugly ass heart” haha

I want all y'all to remember that Klaus said NO to Freya and Elijah. Why is it he gets all the blame, huh?

while I feel sorry for Davina and Marcel, I feel like Kol lost the most... Davina was the only person who he cared about apart from his family and it was his family that did it to her. he lost the love of his life AND his family all at once and he doesn't have anyone else. he can't even bond with marcel, because he hates him too (even tho he's not one to blame). and he didn't feel like he was a part of the family for a thousand years and when he finally started to feel like he is (with his death in Kaleb's body and the rest), they did this to him. and he's probably wrecked with guilt, because even tho it was the ancestor's fault, he was still the one to do it. that's tough, man. I feel like throughout the both shows it was just tragedy after tragedy for Kol. he died twice (once murdered by his own brother), Klaus put him in a box again and again, even Rebekah betrayed him at some point, and now Davina died... give this guy a break!

They are the reason why Davina hates them and that the prophecy came true because now Marcel is going to take the vampire serum

What the ancestors did to Davina was beyond evil but Elijah and Freya sacrificing her like that was just as evil. Even Klaus said no! EVEN Klaus who hates Davina said no because he loves Kol and Marcel. The originals have lived a long time and poor Devina has barely lived. Whatever happens after this is their own fault. They can't blame anyone but themselves. After this episode i never felt the same for Elijah and Freya. Elijah's character has been going down hill for a while now and this really was the last straw. Even though Klaus tried to justify what they did to Marcel, he saw in the end that this was not a win. I really don't agree with what you said, that you feel like they really tried because they really didn't try. If this was Rebekah, then they would have tried harder. My heart breaks for Marcel! He has done everything for them and yet when he needed them the most, they let him down. Same with Kol! Poor Kol lost the person he loves because of his own family. I know people really love season 3 but i never liked it. The villains were boring. Lucian was not intimidating at all. Aurora was at least funny. I love that Kol came back but other than that i really didn't like this season. Season 1 and 2 is so much better.

Love this episode and even though it's tragic, but the scene where Elijah and Freya take the power through Davina is a great scene with the epic kinda music and everything.

I love Vincent as a character, he is the most decent one from them and after what happened with Davina I'm completely on Marcel side, I understand their whatever it takes to save our family, but this time it was just simply too much, especially that Marcel is part of that family and they broke him... But when Vincent said "New Orleans is our home, Marcel and it's time we took it back" I just roll my eyes and despite such a powerful and serious scene, I laugh a little, because once again, they forget that New Orleans was Mikaelsons home for maaaaaany years before there was Marcel or Vincent. And it's still Mikaelsons home too.

Decisons had to made, I stand by Freya and Elijah even though it was messed up I know I probably would've done the same thing for my family. And that scene with Freya doing the spell with the music was epic. RIP Davina though! Even though I'm not her biggest fan, the ancestors are some spiteful bitches for what they're doing to someone who was just in over their head.

What they did to Davina was fucked, Marcel didn’t even get to say I love you back when Elijah attacked there is always something bringing down Marcel #bloop

Klaus kneeling for Hayley was such a powerful moment. Davina’s death was very hard to watch this episode. She didn’t deserve that. The acting was incredible though. Freya and Elijah killing her after Klaus specifically telling them not to, is something that I took awhile to forgive them for. Marcel, Kol and Vincent have every right to be furious right now. The Mikaelsons have no one else to blame but themselves for what happens after this. Like Marcel said, anyone who isn’t their family is nothing in their eyes. That is one of the reasons I like this season so much. It explores the fact that the Mikaelsons are responsible for creating a lot of their villains and causing (even if indirectly) a lot of innocent death as a result of their actions. Yes, they are the main characters and we root for them most of the time, but there is a lot of things they do that are hard to defend. Vincent said it best this episode when he told Freya that she destroyed someone who’d barely begun to live in favor of people that have had more than their fair share of lifetimes. It makes you see the fact that the Always and Forever promise gets taken too far a lot of the time.

I don't agree with what Elijah and Freya did but there was no other way and no more time. Like if they had more time they would have thought of something else. Don’t forget davina broke the sire link which caused all of this mess.

Told y’all marcels patience wore thin, he aint getting his neck snapped no more. What Davina got was worse then death imagine that. I see both sides but the difference is Freya and Elijah did anything to save the family without even trying to find ways to make sure no one gets hurt as soon as theirs an option to save the fam they take it without even trying to find solutions and then using the selfish one as last resort. (Even Klaus knows) (Vincent saying “you’re just as much as a blood sucker as the rest of them” to freya instantly made me love him x100) Never forgave them both, hella selfish decision i don’t think anyone on tvd or the originals ever even did something like this. This felt like forever till it came out lolllll.

I definitely disagreed with Elijah and freyas decision but that candal was only gonna last for such a short time and Lucien would be around a lot longer as well to torture everyone if they don’t find another plan in time so I see why they made the decision still disagree with it tho it was painful to watch

I just hate how the Mikaelsons only care about their family,they have lived long enough they need to put others first,that’s why Marcel is my favourite character and none of the Mikaelsons

i didn't even like davina but i didn't like that they did that to marcel and kol (even though i didn't really like marcel either) klaus literally told them what woulda happen if they did that and they didn't listen. it was so reckless of them.

Everytime I see people defending Mikaelsons actions in this situation I'm just saying how if in this Davina scenario was involved one member of their family they would find another way, they wouldnt let that person die. After this I never really liked Freya or Elajia again as much. I just couldn't, I still have a big amount of resentment towards them. Especially Freya. Davina was my favourite character, but that's not the biggest reason. It's how Mikaelson's cruelty and hypocriticity always slips by, they almost never pay the price for acting that way, and fans almost always defend them because they are "main characters" so they can get away with all the fucked up things they do. Lucien was a creation of Mikaelsons actions in the past, it's their damn fault. The chaos in the New Orleans is their fault. I love their characters, but I don't think for a minute show paints them as heroes, they are not, there are no heroes in this show amongst main characters. People like Camille or Davina are not saints either, but they are victims of their surroundings. What they did here is almost no different from what Klaus did with Elena or Jenna in season 2 of TVD in the finale episodes.

at the end of the day, if you try to justify the Mikaelson’s actions in this episode, your cruel. Davina may not have been innocent, but that doesn’t mean it was right for them to sacrifice her. Though I adore them putting family first, it makes me sick that they would even consider sacrificing her in order to protect their own skin. And it was more than just a sacrifice; they knowingly sentenced Davina to a fate worse than death & had the nerve to justify it with family like that all of a sudden means it okay?? ESPECIALLY since she was important to Marcel, a man who’s done everything without question for them. His anger is justified & the Mikaelson’s deserve his wrath just to teach them that the world doesn’t revolve around them like they think !! (When i say Mikaelson’s, i’m referring to all those who either had a part in her death or later tried to justify it. If they didn’t do either, i’m not talking abt them.)

Screw Marcel, Kol and Vincent davina is dead cuz of them?
