These skyboxes, these CGI images that were made 20 years ago hold so much meaning to me. The vast emptiness of these familiar skyboxes are like peering into my long distant childhood.

in my opinion, the default roblox night skybox gotta be the best. it's not listed here, but the color changing stars feel comforting. i love staring at the skybox because somehow it just calms me down. especially when all the starts light up.

Winterness surprisingly comes from vaxwar. It might have originally been called "Cold Skybox"

Oh nice. "yellow soft" seems to be one of the skyboxes uploaded by Roblox (Walls of Autumn).

When i saw Bryce get mentioned I literally did that one soyjak point meme LMAO. I love Bryce and I use it quite often, I had a feeling some of these skyboxes were made in the Bryce engine but I was never sure, thank you for making this video!

Hey, after using the Terragev program I think it is pretty fire! I like the retro skybox look and I think its really cool how you set up the program.

GEV There was FOUR. First it was the one in the video on the left, second was one during 2013-2014 that was bright white 11/28/2013 somewhere around this time. As it was for a while during late 2013 a default.

I actually think "null" is because when there is no sky set in a G3D::Sky class, it defaults to null_plainsky

For winterness, what is that effect called used on the clouds? or just the effect that is used in many of these to make the clouds

The way clouds like these are made is by using some Perlin Noise and then projecting it onto a plane. Sometimes darker colors of the noise could be keyed out to create less dense clouds.

Me and a few buddies in a discord server quickly found the link to mark alsip. Cool video nonetheless Edit: Should've watched the video, didn't realize how easy it was to find the name. Found a twitter account with the same name that's somewhat active, hope he responds to my message.

I know what null means but the null in null_plainsky likely refers to Nullpoint; the name of Jauhn Dabz's website. The website is even credited alongside their name for the Skybox.
