In the book its pointed out that unlike other supernaturals, daemons are often born to human parents and are thus often in situations where they are misunderstood and isolated. Sophie was born to witches and Nathaniel to daemons and Hamish to understanding and loving parents. Its remarked in the show daemons not nearly as fortunate don't end up using their creativity to succeed and thrive, but are often pushed into addiction and homelessness-many dont even know what they are.

No the show doesnt justify them. Deamons are actually born from Humans, and sometimes from witches very rare are from Vampires. They are highly creative and highly intelligent creatures. They can learn fast and creat many things faster than a normal human, their thinking process is faster than any creatures. That is why the congregation separates the deamons because they are afraid that the Deamons might plan something and conspire and it was later Discovered that Deamons are the source of power for every creature! The reason why Witches have power and Vampires have unique skills are because of the Demons. Demons are the projenitor of power

They are the creative, artistic creatures. Hamish is a genius with money and finance; Nathaniel is a computer whiz and Agatha is a fashion designer and on the congregation. Christopher Marlowe is a gifted poet and playwright. If you’ve read the books or seen all three seasons of the series you will understand their vital importance to all creatures.

They are significantly smarter than humans and more prone to insanity. I think the books do a better job at describing deamons and their "power." Some can actually see the future.

Youre confusing Christian term Demon with the original greek term Daemons. lol Daemons- gifted,fate,touched by god,god-like genius or spirits etc etc) related to the terms like Theo,Dysus,Zeus,Deva,Divine- Demon- Evil related to Satan/hell. This term only came about when Christians labelled all old religions as Pagan and turned the good term Daemon into something evil. "The Greek terms do not have any connotations of evil or malevolence. In fact, εὐδαιμονία eudaimonia, (literally good-spiritedness) means happiness. By the early Roman Empire, cult statues were seen, by pagans and their Christian neighbors alike, as inhabited by the numinous presence of the gods: "Like pagans, Christians still sensed and saw the gods and their power, and as something, they had to assume, lay behind it, by an easy traditional shift of opinion they turned these pagan daimones into malevolent 'demons', the troupe of Satan."

Thanks for the info but didn't really need it, I'm a professional paranormal investigator and crypto zoologist so I pretty much know the difference especially after seeing them in the flesh or should I say shadow and flame, besides Christian demons are the only closest to the truth I found out
