The title "The Irony of What I Do" just struck me. His songs are so meaningful and so full of his own personal, intimate emotions that we get a look at his life without even knowing his actual name or face. This man is just so brilliant!!
Orville, you are talking about the heartbreaks that have nothing to do with romance, and how they stand out to you.. and I think that is exactly what draws me to your music. From the first day I stumbled across your first album Pony, you touched that heartbroken part of me that nobody has ever touched before, and for that I am forever grateful. The only problem is the fact that I just can not listen to your songs in public, at the bus and what not, because every time I break down in tears. After almost 3 years nothing has changed in terms of how I react to your music. Sending love and gratitude from that sad, melancholic, 23-year old guy who always wears black, somwehere in the centre of Europe.
I just came from an “outlaw” country singer show that my parents wanted to see, and it was so full of hate. Listening to Orville Peck and his story always brings me a sense of peace, and I sure need it right now. His heart is earnest and shows in everything he does.
Can’t wait til May 2021, when I see him. I am in love with this man. He stands for everything I love about music. He would never have been my first choice to listen to, but if 2020 has taught me anything is never to set expectations for anything. I truly feel refreshed by his music & his aura. Played shows with you twice when I was younger. One at a festival and one in a basement. You played a different instrument at the time but always stood out to me as a talented musician and deserve whatever success you can get. Orville Peck fucking rules!
I love his creativity. So much about him online. He’s from South Africa, was a ballet dancer, drummer in a Canadian punk band, now living in the US. What can’t he do? His imagination and ability to recreate himself is almost magical. Not to sound too weird, I’m obsessed!
Someone who knows Klaus here, that just “proves” what I inherently felt about Orville having just discovered him. His uniqueness and artistry transcends normal genre stereotypes and manages to reach those who appreciate genuine creativity and expression. So awesome to see the range of people his music seems to being together. I only just discovered him this week too. So exciting!

I love that this was filmed during Covid and is soooo so beautiful and atmospheric. You can because the ferris wheels lights spelled out 'thank you doctors'. And props to the bedroom set team for working the "cowboy mask" so seamlessly with the young talent! 🤠😊
I wish I had known your music when I was a scared child in the closet, and with a ot of very bad situations, I could find a better consolation than in my self-destructive behaviors of my early adolescence (im 19 now), thanks for your music, keeps telling me that things are not that bad, and I hadn't found an artist who would have, until now, you do a good job man, keep it up, I'm sure you will achieve something great

I’m not a big fan of today’s country music, but I’m absolutely obsessed with what Orville Peck is doing. He harkens back to when country music was so much better. You can tell he visualizes his songs that he writes, he really paints a picture for the listener and I can’t wait to see what he does next!!

I listened to a a lot of Country as a kid and in my early teen in the late 70s early 80s. Artists like Eddie Rabbit, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Willie and Dolly. And I always liked the 40s through the 60s music. But I drifted away, because it was becoming so formulaic, though I couldn't have put it in those terms then. The last "Country" artists I regularly listened to in the late 80s early 90s were Chris Isaak and KD Lang, and they were hardly the usual Country artists. But now I have Orville Peck to add to the Country artists I like!
This guy gets it. If you can't tell your story as a western, it isn't a story worth telling, but the secret is that every story can be told as a western. Every tale told is ageless if you're near a source of flame. And you're welcome to quote me on that.
This man’s talent transcends genres-I come here as a 90s alternative grunge fan and I am blown away by his voice and songwriting! Never ever thought anything country was even remotely interesting and yet he captures my undivided attention. A true total package talent!

There are few country artists that I care for but orville has so much soul in his voice. I hope one day him and Brittany Howard collab now that would be soul wrenching.
Just discovered this guy a few days ago and immediately fell in love with his music. Some of the greatest music I've ever heard and reminds me of all my favorites, cash, elvis, etc. I love what this guy is doing for country music and how hes expanding it and giving it a new shade of color. Its beautiful and inspiring and I cant wait to see his name go down in the country legends.
Can we all agree that he’s a fucking genius, I mean every celebrity wants to be bigger than life while performing but while living a normal life they want to hide and just live normally and him hiding his face means he can have the best of both worlds!
Honestly Orville? People were hungry for YOUR kind of music. Ive been craving a breath of fresh air, one that blows through the halls of overly synthesized music and overly auto tuned voices. The first time I heard your song Summer Time I cried, because I could relate. Its been so long since I heard a song for the first time and got goose bumps and tears in the corners of my eyes. It had been TOO LONG friend. Too long. Thank you for your contributions to the current musical scene. I'm looking forward to many more songs out of you.
Discovered 'Pony' about a year and a half ago and I'm not particularly a country fan but I love your voice with haunting, alt-country undertone and simple ensemble that really elevates both. Just heard a few tracks from 'Bronco' am already loving it!

Good lord I heard Big Sky in a con roommate's car on the ride back to the hotel. My guitar got a bit beat up a few months ago & my low E snapped so I put the practice on hold. Hearing more of your music & your story is downright inspirational for me to keep learning how to express myself musically even if just my friends know my name. 🦓💚
One thing I think Orville has done so well is introduces the non-straight lifestyle into country. People always saw it as a tough man and a petite woman. Orville challenges that. Along with being so accepting of everyone, his inclusion of characters in music videos is flawless. Today we have too many people trying to be “woke” and including demographics at a skewed ratio, but Orville’s characters seem like they were built for that exact video. A lot of them are something that stands out from the general public, but fits seamlessly into the videos. To Orville, thank you; I am off put by people trying to be “woke”, and then show off something that seems fake. You do the opposite; show reality. You always remind me of my favorite band Pink Floyd because; Shine on You Crazy Diamond!
I love your voice. Being a closeted gay kid, quite often I felt isolated and extremely lonely and to cope, I’d loose myself in my mom’s old LP albums. This allowed me to fall in love with old school country, rock and rhythm & blues.
