Active cheaters in the top 100? You really think we would let that pass? Note: Please don't be upset at Crai and Glitter Goose for things that they did half a decade ago that they've apologized for already. #osu! #osuhistory #cheaters
@@mr.commonsense6645 i mean whitecat has been here for a long time, hes been streaming since abt 3 years ago, its just that he only got unbanned recently
@@timothykoh4845 True but like at the time he got banned, it was more or less because (surprise, surprise) "he came out of nowhere and started setting good scores."
"around (insert season here) 2016 a (insert country here) player named (insert player here) rose very quickly up the rankings seemingly out of nowhere"
hahaha seiko !!! I still feel like this year is even crazier, since the amount of cheaters exceeds the amount in 2016 by a large margin. To make things even funnier, im bad got into the top 100 three times. That's three whole times! Crazy times we live in.
Ben (Seiko) bought my account in february of 2016 (it was at around #250 global) for $300 and he managed to climb it to around top 30 before passing the account on to another cheater later that year (around november if i remember correctly). New guy was blatant and got banned like a week later. Sadly I can never get my account back because Ben unfortunately died of an overdose 2 years ago. Rest in peace my guy, you still pop up in my head randomly and words can’t describe how much I miss talking to you. I’ll see you soon ❤️
Idk if you are being honest about this, and ik this has been like 6 months ago, but if you need help or anything, feel free to ask. Everyone is open for support, so feel free to ask. Edit: only reason why I ask is that it is a little foreboding with the statement "see you soon"
i first played osu in early 2017 and worked really hard to fc a 3* map of a song i liked, i think i did it in around 4 or 5 hours of playtime. i was a kid at the time and excited to share my play but i got completely torn into by people who said i was cheating. it turned me off of the game for 4 years. sometimes i wonder how good i could be now if i kept at it then, but i'm a couple months into playing again and people still scrutinize my profile, screenshot my top plays, and ask for my replay files so they can check for hacks. it's exhausting. luckily i enjoy the game, otherwise i don't think it would be worth it for me to stick around.
as someone with "only" 15 days in standard who can A rank 3.6 star at most, I can believe people playing up to 4.5 stars when starting, especially with a nice setup. I believe people can be legit setting a 100 pp play as their first but that might be optimistic. For some people the game probably just clicks with them.
I thought cheating was ridiculously frequent in 2019 but now I see it has always existed. Personally I’d rather never be known in the osu! community, than being known as a cheater.. great video as always Willy !
Love the video, have you considered doing something like this video but more in depth and longer? I.E “the most high profile bans in OSU” where you talk about notable top players getting banned throughout the years, everyone from Cookiezi to legendre
Just recently there was a cheater in the top 100, his description in osu was "selling hacks, I can get you #1 on any map you want" *Active cheaters in the top 100, you think we would let that pass???*
I know I joined in 2016 and I really can't remember any of this happening which is surprising as I am from the UK , but ehh I wonder what else will happen, anyways have fun and play chill :D
>Cheaters admit they're cheating but not didn't get banned until they went blatant >Legit players gets banned because people are so sure they are hacking so staff ban them with little to no evidence staff team kappa
kinda late answer but idc nobody will talk about real cheaters bans if they are below smth like top 500 when they are getting restricted but everyone will notice banned legit players and undetected cheaters yea there is a lot of cases with bad staff work but there are many more examples with correct staff work
0:26 i paused to look at the score amounts to see who the cheaters were (i expected very low amount of plays in comparison to legit players) just to realise that cookiezi had less than 100 total vs the 5k of hvick wtf
@@XxMarkelOcendaxX It was just shige unbanned things. He was able to set high pp scores with little play count due to being relatively active during his ban and well you know, the very cliche line of "being ahead of his time".
I think that the best part about osu! and hacking is that they don’t deal the damage like in other games, since at least we can just yeet cheaters off the leaderboard
I think a year later there was a top player spotted multi account and both of his account was legit plays but with different type of map he plays, his first account play highest diff maps with hddt or hdhr ans his second tend to play hddt on insane diffs map. I forgot his second acc ign but his first name ign is green (not green panda).
'The guilty until proven innocent attitude that many hold that still exists to this day'. I'm sorry but the opposite seems to be the case at the moment. Innocent until proven guilty is naturally the way to go when it comes to accusations, but given how easy it is to get away with cheating in osu! (as well how easy it is to actually prove your legitimacy I might add), a 'taken with a grain of salt until proven guilty or innocent' attitude might just be the way to go here. (Tournament) cheaters get exposed regularly, and given how poor the anticheat system is (Fucking Spare has been getting away with cheating for 4 years +) there are likely many, many more out there. It has quite frankly killed some of my passion for the game.
@@Wieku well if he is cheating he'll get bored eventually and admit it just like the previous cheaters. Taking a look at BruhmasterL's analysis on Spare and countless toxic reddit sources , there are just accusations and none of the "evidence" of him cheating is proved to be 100% correct. But yeah in the end maybe i'm wrong, maybe im not , only time will tell if he's innocent or just another cheater. Also I love your videos and your cursor dance bot is epic.
I'd laugh my butt off if I ever get banned. Mostly cause I only play mania and in my free time I play Friday night Funkin. I'm only a 6 number. But if I ever make it to 5 number too fast and get banned I'd be upset cause I don't cheat
czapek, a known coder among some of the osu! community, coded a cheat at the start of 2020 and managed to make it to top 100, almost top 50 within a month of being unbanned. He is now banned but still managed to make it to top 100 without being detected for cheating but the Polish community knew that he was.
Dude, not just him - I remember some cheater reaching #1 without getting banned 2 years ago, and managed to stay for several hours until the mods finally woke up
