Ordinarily I'm all about in-your-face effects, the more dramatic the better. But with this one, I really enjoyed the subtle thickening it added to the tone when set minimaL Very nice. Versatile, too.

Maxon has always made some great sounding pedals. Their delays, compressions and overdrives have always been some of my favorites.

Tasty playing as always Leon! I bought one of these recently. My most expensive pedal by a good margin, but damn is it good. Phaser and tremolo are my favorite modulation sounds, and running this into a choppy trem like the photo cell mode on the Flint makes a great fake rotary sound out of a single speaker cab.

Very cool. I was going to say it has a Leslie thing going on. 🤘♥️. I love that flame on that Les Paul and the color of those pickups really look killer sir. I have rarely used a phaser or a flange. I used to use Chorus as an always on effect to thicken up the sound and I still like it, and of course for that 80s clean gorgeous clarity. I need to use phaser more often with leads just to give me more tools. Very cool sir as always on this killer channel. Great playing man. Be well sir. ♥️🤘♥️

Phasers can add a little bit of "momentum" to a sound that a chorus or flanger don't. variety is the spice of life right?

@@LeonTodd I have a single knob, script logo “Phase Tone” that has the words “Greco Makes It” under the Maxon logo. It’s easily the fattest and most lush. It’s extremely similar to the very early script logo Phase 90 I used on my board in my early 20s. Probably better. I also really like my PT909 that looks like an orange 1980 TS808. The addition of “width” and “feedback” controls are very useful but it’s still not quite as fat as the older one-knob job.

Besides boosts/overdrives/fuzzes, phasers are the next effect i have most of. Vintage MXR Phase 100 script, Phase 100 modern, Boss PH-2, Truetone/Garagetone Oilcan Phaser (basically an OTA small stone without the color switch but control of depth), Whirlwind Orange Box, and the Drybell Vibe Machine v2 (is univibe but technically a phaser). I play guitar and bass and usually keep a board goin that works for both, and the Whirlwind Orange Box phase 90 script style phaser is usually the one that stays on there. Been wanting a dedicated Leslie/rotary pedal for some time now though.

Had it, sadly sold it. There is just some magic in the old analog circuits (and maybe half burned resistors and dried out caps that just make you - "man, this is better than digital". (From a Axe-FX 3 guy).

very "70's" sounding - something like Ted Nugent or Peter Frampton would use - I always say this but great playing as always... and did I hear a tinge of I'm the one in there when you were playing? :)
