Thank you for covering "the other side" Sarah! :). I don't have necessarily have clinical experience with the drug, but as a deep tissue and Myofascial release bodyworker of 21 years I noticed how beneficial it was for overall inflammation in my client's bodies that used it. Not to mention, the clients that used it were over-the-moon happy a year out and 2 of the 3 got off of it already without rebound weight gain, the third client is still on her treatment plan. It truly changed their habits and more. The loss of the inflammation allowed certain things to heal that I couldn't fix years into working on their tissue. Let's hope that more drs come at this with the "low dose" approach

Looking forward to this! Dr. Tyna’s conversation around this peptide really opened me up to using it. I’ve been doing all the “right things” for years. Daily steps, weight training, body weight in protein, balancing hormones, tracked my macros for a year+ without weight budging. I’ve been implementing your light exposure recommendations and hope that with micro-dosing Tirzepitide will be the thing to move the needle! I’m relatively thin and only have 10-15 lbs to loose but have signs of insulin resistance at the age of 40 (low blood sugar swings, skin tags, rosacea, carry the excess weight in my low stomach etc). I want to get a handle on that before I start to become even more metabolically inflexible.

I’m on Ozempic for 2weeks now and my physician wants to increase it from .25mg to 0.5mg during week 4, However I rather keep it lower longer and see what happens. One thing about technological interventions is that often they are cost prohibitive for the vast majority of the population, hence only for the wealthy, and even more importantly, are not natural therefore are unsustainable. Soluble fiber feeds the microbiome that produce butyrate. Managing stress (which is a learning endeavor, takes daily practice, but with applied effort is relatively free) also manages microbiome. Wonder, what are some things that the majority of the population to do to improve GLP-1 production/physiology?
@SarahKleinerWellness
@SarahKleinerWellness 7 месяцев назад
My opinion: Circadian signaling will support GLP-1 production & signaling - (so light hygiene is CRUCIAL) - adequate bioavailable protein at the right times of day (this is also a hugely overlooked signal) - strategic fasting & improving redox function with free things like grounding - cold exposure & NIR from sunlight on the skin & darkness at night to support endogenous pineal melatonin production. These are things that 99% of people are NOT doing that are free and could move the needle tremendously

Not recommend but heard some have injected pens into an empty sterile vile and micro dosed using an insulin syringe. You’d need to know the math to figure dose and volume. You could theoretically stretch out the cost of single pens to some extent but the peptide does have a shelf life so you’d have to figure out how many pens you can store before they expire. If they remove compounded options or you can’t access anything but single use pens maybe that could be a work around for micro dosing.

That would be a great question for Tyna as she has been doing tons of research. As I’ve mentioned in a few comments in response to this video, I’m still not at the place where I’m going to be recommending this to any clients that I work with & encourage everyone to look at all the research and make their own decision ❤️ The biggest problem is when we make blanket statements without education and proper unbiased research
@Highvibinqueen

What is important for us to know is are these doctors getting paid for their opinion? This can cause bias opinions and we have to be careful. I am myself, trying to figure out where the truth lies in this all.

I know Dr Tyna is not getting paid by the companies. But doing your own research to look at the data is crucial. I’m still not 100% sold on these peptides- more cautiously optimistic

I was on Ozempic for over 2 year for my type 2 diabetes. After 2+ years I started having stomach issues on it and had to go off. To the point that I was vomiting every time I ate something. Since going off, even keeping my diet Keto and Carnivore I have put weight back on. I had lost over 107 pounds. Now I am struggling to get 30 pounds back off. Ozempic was great for the first 1.5 years.

You speak of "micro dosing" but none of the doctors I spoke to do it, so what can "civilians' do about it? I don't want to stop taking it 'cause i also feel better mentally, it's helping my depression and I think more clearly ....but the nausea feeling it's there and it's not great...I don't want to overdose...but what can i do?

What I did experience was miserable pain in joints, muscles, tummy, nausea , diarrhea. As soon as I stopped taking ozempic against my doctors advice, I experience such a relief in all my symptoms.
