This video is split into two, the first part is walking the Stafford to Uttoxeter Line between Stafford Railway Station and the other Stafford Station, Stafford Common which closed the passengers and now is a disused station but is part of the Isabel Trail. After a quick look at where Stafford Rangers FC play and where Topp Trains was in Stafford.
This is where the second part of the trip comes in.
DISCLAIMER! I needed some Hornby Track and since there is no Model Railway shops in Rugeley, I was making a 'necessary' journey to Stafford to get some Hornby Track. (Since Hattons didn't have any in stock) but I do not drive, I don't cycle and walking takes 4 hours! so my only option was to use public Transport but it was also done during off peak times.
So once at Stafford Railway Station, I travelled on the 1455 to Rugeley Trent Valley on a London Northwestern Railway Class 350 Desiro and then took another train back to Rugeley Town on another Class 350 Desiro to end the vlog and also made a announcement on next week video!
Sim0nTrains Rail Journeys WILL return next week with a trip to Didcot!

You didnt need , or have to, explain your reasons why you used public transport to get to where you wanted to go to. Its your life and you do what you want to mate and no one should judge either way what you are doing in your life. Take care and nice blog👍

Thank you Matt, this was done when restrictions were lifting back in 2020 but yes I didn't need to do it but felt appropriate to do it.

Would like to go to Stafford and to Stoke-on-Trent. Plus I like the sound of the Class 390 Pendolinos. Very interesting and amazing video. I do like the history of former railway stations and railway lines that have faded away or have been disused and could soon be rebuilt and reopened. Suppose you have heard about Horden railway station that has been rebuilt and is now opened. Since it closed in the 1960s due to the Beeching Axe.

Is there a way to bring back the railway line from Stafford to Uttoexter if the DfT wants to reopen the former railway lines in England, Wales and Scotland.

@@Andrewjg_89 All the Beeching lines should been mothballed then gradually brought back into use as needed. Most of the ones around me (the Wellington Line that Simon mentions and Stafford through Gnosall) have been built on at random points. Mad.
