I remember the first time I played with the Otomo. Sold land to the Portuguese in every province, made an entire army of Terucos, European cannons backed by a navy of Nanban trade ships and led by the Black ship once captured. My daimyo died of natural causes and since I kept him in the field since day one, no kids so when I took Kyoto, the female head of the clan technically became Shogun put in power by an army of foreign mercenaries from Portugal.

I recently managed to complete an Otomo Campaign on Hard without having to go to war with a single faction, besides the Shogunate. Turns out Missionaries are OP. Build a Chapel in both your startiong towns, recruit missionaries, then sit them in your towns till they level up, then once they have got some ability to incite rebellions you go do that, to every single province you come across. To take a province all you need to do is keep inciting rebellions until the rebels take the town, then swoop with your army and take it. You have no captured another clans province without having to ruin any of the relations with them. Rince and repeat, building Chapels in every single town so you can have a veritable swarm of Christian Missionaries running around converting the heathens and speading the word of god.

Do this but with the ikko ikki monks, and build their version of a temple in your cities, the best part about them VS the christians is once a province rebels and they are victorious in taking the capital, the city falls under your control immediately, and you gain the rebel forces as your own, no need to go to war with anyone ever, just use the monk they let you start with and just let him become a 6 star rebellion starter with 80-95% chances of success

@@lucasfragoso7634 Not gonna lie, it stinks that the Ottomans and Spain didn’t fight more. I’d love to see a clash between Janissaries and Tercios. In my opinion, of all the empires to claim the title of “3rd Rome” only four of them held any legitimacy in my eyes. Russian Empire -> Cultural Claim (pretty obvious) Ottomans -> Geographic Claim (pretty obvious) Spain -> Administrative Claim (ie ran their Empire [especially Habsburg Era] very similarly to how the Romans administered their Empire). Italian Empire -> Dynastic Claim (the last Byzantine dynasty the Palaiologos had a branch of their dynasty rule the March of Montferrat until the 1500s. A member of that branch (Blanche of Montferrat) married Charles I of Savoy. His descendants went on to form the Kingdom of Italy and from there the Italian Empire.

I've downloaded every single mod you've listed in the description so I'm just wondering if I am missing a certain building or not playing the right clan or just being a total scatterbrain but I've so far, never seen that unit in all my playthroughs and I was wondering if anyone else knows about it or how t recruit them cause I've gone through all buildings and all units and I still cannot find them!
