It's great to have the hybrid pocket-ability & reservoir size in a metal tip marker BUT the hardness of the bottle is insanity. I also did not have as much success in line consistency/opacity. Your mod though was awesome! Great video man!
Pro Tip: those little mop nibs also fit on most miniature hand sanitizer bottles or travel shampoos which are super squeezable. Buy a five pack of nibs and rack some sanitizer and you've got some mini mops for super cheap.

I think there would be more growth if the videos were a bit more succinct and focused. Like having to FF 5 min to actually get to the point where he’s actually writing can be a bit irritating. Only say so for the sake of constructive crit

I don't own these, hadn't really considered buying them, and only saw them in your last video for the brief time you mentioned them. I also don't dream very much, but the other night I had very vivid dreams of writing with these, and I need one now. Weird stuff.

Just buy the tiny mop nib and put it on a mini hand sanitizer bottle instead. Way cheaper. Anything the OTR Metal Tip can do can be done better with a Presto or Bic white-out pen (you can empty the white out and refill with any color paint or just add colored ink to the stock white out) All these items are easy 2 rack. Im a big fan of OTR just not the metal tip. A Presto filled with blue Soultip paint is my jam
Its completly like the dope slug marker wich has been there for some years now… otr just put there name on it! I have the dope slug and hate it because they dont write consistently and the body is way to hard
I recently got some of these empty ones and got those art primo marsh inks they came out with and they loosen the bodies better and better squeeze! Inks are the way to go on these!
I just got an empty one. I filled it up with some silver soultip paint. I'm having a hard time getting it to write. Idk if you need to push down and squeeze or have them at an angle. It seems like when it does work it works alright but then half way through a letter paint stops coming out. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here.
It's sorts hard to maintain pressure squeezing since the body is so hard. That's probably rhe knly problem. They do loosen up over time, especially if you put an ink in it
@@ScizGraffiti Forshure I get that I ordered a grog metal head in slime green off bomingcscience Ik the slimmer green has been hard to get lately and also it looks liek they payed attention and made the top more sturdy so when you put the top on it doesent bend in as bad
I need to snzg one of these i swear for years the only ruff surface mop i use is the krink or go old school with a squeeze bottle but that thing is cheap enough to keep a few colors on deck which ti be honest is the way to go..therez no better feeling then having a tool box that looks like a giant crayon box cuz its full of different color and sized mops lol... also ive found if you clean out harder plastic bottles or mops quickly wit xylene and acetone they loosen up.. just make sure u know the basics of high powered solvents before trying to alter the squeezablenes of a mop
Yeah the speed white fluid I put in the one did wonders for it! I know solvents are solvents but that one seriously loosened the mop up and it's a really nice feel on that one now. And I do feel you with the rough surface type mops. It's sorta like you said in a comment on the steel tip video: anything a steel tip can do, a solid paint stick will do just as well or better haha. that's not to say they can't be fun tho of course
@@ScizGraffiti yeah honestly I've had the steel tip sitting beside the empty soultip mop for at least 8 months probably longer. I just never got around to ordering nibs for it. Thanks for the reminder lol literally gonna order some right now have a good one man
Preeeeeeettty sure that metal tip is a regular OTR 12mm nib (slightly bigger than grog and molotows 10) and you can probably put a mohair on it without issue. I'd put the metal nib on a better otr marker personally. Grab that cap too, the ONLY cap the doesn't SUCK is grogs 10mm mini mop cap. The rest are all too small and get the nib stuck to them, on every brand and size. I keep a 5mm grog nib and a molotow/otr rollerball that serves this same purpose but backwards: small mop big metal, as opposed to this ones big mop small metal.
I've actually had trouble with the grog 10mm caps and the 20s in the past, but not the 5mm for some reason. haha. I find now though that as much as I mike the longer mohair nibs, they tend to be really bad for sticking to the caps of their respective markers. my otr 003 got totally messed up cause of that. rip But yeah, I'll have to try the 12mm you mention for this little guy and see if it fits. Yo dog, Dope is actually making kinda similar marker called "Slug", kinda the same hard body, little bit different valve, but basically the same one, they sell in my country for just 3 Euros... basically better value than some emty ones since you get those 20ml of color :D and than you can clean it and pour kinda whatever thick paint you want .. i kinda like drips so i use thicc alcohol based paint but mix it with some thin ink to make it flow well through the valve and get those nasty drips :3
The paint that comes in them is the soul tip paint I believe which you can get from any website that sells otr products like art primo or bombing science. I'm less able to recommend a European site or something in Asia but if you're in North America like me, those are 2 good sites
Man that sucks. You might be able to stick something g really skinny through the bottom of the ball point. Sometimes the spring gets jammed in there and that works. That'd be my suggestion
