You've quickly become one of my favourite rust base builder and players alongside evilwurst and willjum. Big respect for the high video and audio quality man, looking forward to the play through series you said you were planning on doing.
I feel the same way. The presentation and explanations are always top notch. Right up there with EvilWurst for best content creators for sure. I'm on console playing mainly solo and been considering trying to build one of the larger solo bases maybe with a compound for large furnaces for myself for the first time but having a hard time deciding which one. Also worried that my build spots may not be flat enough to build everything as described, happened to me twice on builders paradise where important parts were unable to be completed
If you enjoy his channel, you should def check out Dust. He does a lot of compound videos about the bases he uses in his rust movies. Most of them are more advanced than these, so if you’re looking for advanced build videos, for maximum protection, check out Dust.
normally most of these youtube base builds i dont like i just use the footprints for example to make my own or take an idea but this one is actually good
Made THIS Base but I did the first floor with no SINGLE Door instead I used a Stability Bunker which works exactly without adding more walls or change the Footprint. Bunker is the meta so I tried to get one working and it does really well. You use your first get up where the 3 Furnaces are and also just put 2 Half Walls at the TC wall. then you can place ur Twig and also an Triangle Roof an Garage door AND an Triangle Hatch for the max, security
That bunker can be opened for one rocket. The wood/twig frame that holds triangle slanted roofs can be destroyed from outside the wall via splash, making it non-viable in this base.
@@Templetaps i closed this wall. For me you can't go 360 in the shell just left side. I closed the right side with walls and on the 2nd floor there is an auto turret.
But I have an other problem. The shooting flor which is connected with the triangle to the base is not connected in the game. It gets damage over time I think I have to connect it to the base
Used this very promising base this wipe and here are my problems: - Very little room for loot before T2/garage door. After T2 this is solved. - For some reason the twig used to connect to the second external TC always broke - Got raided and managed to claim the base back as showed in the video. But when attempted to reconnect to the 1st external TC, the twig broke. Might be inexperience on my part but I have no clue why the twig breaks every time. (placing the same way as in video)
You definitely did something wrong. This type of disconnectable external is tried and true, virtually every meta builder in the game uses them in every wipe without fail. I build them frequently on stream and have never had an issue. Make sure you use the correct number of foundations, and place the twig from the correct side. It's only stable enough to replace from one of the two sides.
I know im a couple months late but temple just so you know you always want the rollers on the garage door to face away from where you are standing when you place them so raiders cant splash both garage doors with explosive ammo.
as always great base design I dont even know how you manage to design this but next wipe I going to build at launch :) btw keep up the good work congrats too wish you reach 100k or more this year
brilliant base, outcast been my fav one for duos and trios, def using this one for solo, btw builders sanctuary code in desc is wrong it is 5V, check it out, keep the good work man!
hey man I don't really understand the power in rust but could u put the garage doors on the roof on sensors so when Ur offline and if someone did hv out the roof turret and land a heli or scrap the garage doors would open and just slaughter them?
Any (maybe general for all kind of bases) suggestion which weapon use with certain turrets? Like which weapon for turret outside, for roof, bottom corridors, floor with peekdowns, etc...
I’m building this base and one of the external tc’s is 1 full wall down from the entrance. How do i connect the frames and can I still disconnectable. Tried a few different ways and can’t get the frames to connect
Excellent base for online defense. But for offline raids, the door path is very cheap for the number of resources put into the base. It looks fun as hell to play out of, but as a solo, getting online raided is really rare unless you seriously go out of your way to piss a group off.
Man I’ve literally been bitching about everyone else’s builds for solos as I’ve used many on official and modded in order to test the online and offline defense. I’ve watched many of your videos and I’m amazed at these designs I’ll be trying one of three of your designs on next monthly wipe on official vanilla. Obviously testing on moded first but all these bases I’ve watched of yours show me what other builders have been lacking as far as peeks,tc’s, etc.
Absolutely stunning! The outcast was always my favorite base, but for being a solo from time to time, it was a little expensive but now it's perfect! You nailed it again!
I saw this base in one of bloos video and I jus feel in love with the base that his neighbors built and I went straight to RU-vid to find this base cause I jus had a feeling that this base was from a RU-vidr great base, building this next with my group, great work!!❤️❤️
Don't underestimate yourself. This base costs less than a single box of each material so if you lay low and take your time, you could get it up with only a couple hours a night to play :)
oh HECK YEAH! Dude, I can't wait to build this haha man it's gonna take me a few tries but I think I got this! another dope base, presh you Temple 💯💯💯 Gonna try SmallerWorld out ASAP!!
hello I always see these types of bases, but if with 8 c4 you already enter the nucleus, is it not quite obvious if as soon as you enter you see an HQ wall?
Yes. It's a 23 rocket raid to TC and/or the first floor of loot. But keep in mind the base is designed with 3 full floors of lootrooms where you will ideally split your loot across. Not only that, but it is designed to strike a balance between online, and offline raid defense, and you can't actually seal/grief the base for 23 rockets - it will take a lot more than that. When you design a base to survive an online raid, you always have to make some kind of sacrifice to its offline raid protection. Most "solo bunker bases" typically only protect from 23 rockets anyways and usually don't have external TCs either, so for the features you get from this base, I'd say it's worth it if you anticipate being online raided. If you play on a high-pop main server such as Rustoria Main, Moose Main, Stevi, etc. this base could be a great choice for you - if you're trying to lay low and avoid an offline raid on a slower monthly server, this base probably isn't the right choice.
I play as a trio and just tried this base out, and I love it. We focus heavily on PVP and we literally didn’t even farm at all so far this wipe. I find it’s big enough for us three. No problem. So thankyou and great job. Excited for all the wipes to come with the base.
I'm happy it could serve your needs :) the vending machines certainly bump up the storage although it does suck that you can't fit 3 bags in the starter haha
I built this last wipe. make sure before you build you have everything for ALL the turrets because there are a LOT of weak points in the base where people can get in. They were even able to squeeze in the peeks
You forgot to build the wallframes underneath the peekdowns, they block the squeeze point. They are not squeezable. The widegaps are also not squeezable.
@@Templetaps Yes they are even with the wallframes... They got inside mine today. Its not easy but with some jumps and some mooving u can sneek by them. Learned the hard way xD.
I love the design and being a newer rust player (console) look for in-depth videos such as this. My only gripe is the dependency for a huge open flat spot in order to be able to follow along with the build and ultimately create this base. Would like to see more bumpy-terrain friendly builds.
I have tried to build your bases bigger bases solo and found out they are very hard to finish, especially after BP wipe, especially original OUTCAST. I have built it tho but still I couldn't finish the compound, it takes a lot of effort. I liked BLOCKHOUSE a lot, built it twice, once with extra widegaps so it was all 4 sides, was cool but very hard to farm so many resources and BP's to finish it off. The main issue are you have to push for garage doors in both of those bases, or you are left with a weird double door / jump up combo for a bit, where you can't use doors or it will block ur jump up, or you cant progress from starter without garage doors (original outcast). Both of those mentioned bases are very doable in DUO, and ez as TRIO. THEN i tried CHADCABIN twice too (both times without vending machine), once as a starter in its original form and once tried to modify it with 2 & 3 floor as loot & shooting floors, with widegaps, roof access and your typical compound style. It was a bit lackluster, so IMO CHADCABIN is strictly solo/duo starter base without much of expanding. I liked original OUTCAST inner core with vending machines, and also BLOCKHOUSE windowed loot rooms and usable honeycomb with locker behind window and T3. Would love to have a combination of something like that in upcoming bases too. But now THIS, is something that might tick many boxes for me, decent size, nice mobility, good loot rooms, shooting floors and widegaps, INNERPEEKS. Dang this one is nutty, will definitely try it out and share my experience.
Love This Base!! Just built it last night on the solo server I’m playing on and I love it! Easy access to everything and the space is just amazing! Great base design looking forward to future base designs from this guy!!!!
Yeah theres some problems with it, the vending machines mess up the roof and i cant even fit 2 of them in each window. You have to do everything in a different order or you cant go back
The HQM walls are for stability during a core pummel and to increase the cost of raiding side-in from all other angles. Additionally, via two back walls it would be 23 rockets to TC, via the front wall, one armored door, two garage doors, and an Armored window, it's 22 rockets, keeping the raid path close to the same. It's an easy thing to get confused about, though. That is why the door chutes are offset from the core entrance to allow one additional sheet door separating the shell from the front door so that path is also a minimum of 22.
Little bit of background noise is coming through on your mic and is noticeable only when you start/stop your audio track. Honestly might be worth keeping the noise in the whole vid so you can't tell it's only on your mic
I got a problem, when building the shooting floor in the wide gaps part of the inner peaks pokes through and stops me from placing the triangle floor to the base? Any way to fix that?
We decayed our old base and redid ur block house but darn it i wanna do this one too!! Soah loves building so going to have him do this one :) as you know he always has to make it bigger but we love all ur ideas and the way you do things can't wait to try. Ive been MIA power went out so hopefully today i can or this weekend so excited to try this :)
I'll be on 2night miss it I've been playing offline can't wait for u to see what we did with ur build we of course changed it for us but still used a bunch of ur build
Fits my needs perfectly as mainly a solo cause the boys barely play. Gives me the opportunity to work on monument runs instead of resources. Quite easy to reseal/defend during a raid as well
Just want to say I appreciate the way you take the extra minute to do a full tour as you would in game so people get a sense of what the base would be like instead of that overly done music laced cinematic only " showcases " that others do. Also, how as you do the tour and during the build, you explain your reasoning for things as well as other nuances to give people an idea of where alterations could be made. Not to mention how your editing choices and clearly well speaking mean you can provide all those details without making the video an hour long. Very well done. I can see you take a great deal of time making these and I hope your channel grows accordingly.
Thank you for the kind and thoughtful review. It's very much appreciated. I'm glad the effort doesn't go unnoticed. It's genuinely exhausting work to continue producing this content on a consistent schedule but I'm definitely doing my best. I could crank out base after base with little to no effort and poor explanations/tutorial but that just isn't my style. I only make a product that I can believe in myself. I'm glad you enjoy :)
If raiders destroy your main TC in a raid, normally they'd be able to build and seal up your base and put doors on it so you could no longer access it, which means your wipe would be over. With external TCs, once your main TC is broken, the externals protect the build zone and prevent raiders from griefing your base. They would also have to raid both externals to mess you up. Which is a lot of extra rockets.
@@nerdylilnurse7974 since the build privilege of the external reaches into the main base, once your main TC is destroyed, you won't be able to place a new one (the build priv overlaps). So you need to temporarily disconnect the externals so their build privilege no longer overlaps with the mainbase in order to place a new mainbase TC.
I recently found your channel and I have been really loving it. All your bases have starters, are easy to build, and they have a nice style to them! I really like this build, and I personally added ankle biter roof peeks in the triangles in the wide gaps. I cant wait to try it out on a server!
