Yorkshire band The Outer Limits looked like they had it made in the late 60s. They released two acclaimed singles and went on a mega-tour with Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. But it wasn't enough and they split up. The break-up was turned into a documentary by Yorkshire TV. The members of the band were Jeff Christie, Gerry Smith, Steve Isherwood and Rod Palmer. Jeff Christie turned to songwriting and became a star in his own right when his new band Christie subsequently released a string of hits, including Yellow River.
The narrator of this documentary is Austin Mitchell, who is currently a British Labour Party politician.
All the Outer Limits songs have been released on the Floored Masters CD.
