Freddie Tavares steel guitar with The Outriggers. Recorded in true stereo in 1959. I find this to be well done middle of the road music that is pretty easy to listen to. Freddie plays some nice steel. The organ kind of gives it that Lounge Sound, as does the "drenched in reverb" recording which is a little overdone. Though, still likeable enough......Enjoy

So happy to come across 'Captivation' a favorite in my Hawaiian collection back in the early 60's . As young teenagers in Africa, my best friend and I used to wear hibiscus flowers in our hair, hang colored lights and turn up the lilting island melodies, transforming the patio into a little piece of paradise. Listening to the Outriggers now takes me right back to those fun Saturday evenings...... Thank you Chris for putting up sides 1 and 2, much appreciated!

Chris. Thank you for putting up side 2. I notice that you have 7 racks on side 1 and that the recording is labeled as a "mix." The back of the album lists 6 tracks on side 1. Could you pease identify the names of the tracks on side 1 or set up a recording of side 1 with the six tracks. Thank you for the time you have spent on making "Captivation" available.

Sorry I played one song twice "can't fix it now". The "mix" labels are created by RU-vid,I have no say in what they put in them.

Mr. Peters - I've found the same and more, as far as repeats go. I think it's a way the RU-vid user who posts the material can do so while reducing the risk of having it taken down for copyright issues. But it's still nice to find the upload and remove the repeated material. cheers (mai tai)
