Information about the scape:
As a fan of Nature Aquarium style, I made this aquascape layout where a wide range of aquatic plants, driftwoods and rocks are combined to create a harmony habitat for living creatures inside the aquarium. There are about 40 types of aquatic plants growing healthily in “The Valley of Harmony”, creating a colourful and dynamic scenery of an underwater world. Stem plants in the layout create lively feeling whereas mosses on driftwoods and rocks reflect a “wabi-sabi” sense of time’s passage. All plants are flourishing to bring out the harmonious colour scheme thus the tranquillity and peace for this aquascape.
Fish love to rest under the lush green canopy of Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo’. Shrimps enjoy hanging out on the thick moss patches on the driftwoods and rocks along the sand ground. And the small pathway leads them to the unknown mysterious place behind. All of the aquarium’s “residents” including all small snails are well taken care of in this aquarium as Amano-san had once mentioned “To know Mother Nature is to love her smallest creations”.
After IAPLC photo taking, the tank was let to grow freely and I truly love its new look. Hope you enjoy it like I do. :)

Many thanks, buddy! Sorry I have not tested the GH before on the tap water and also the tank. What I know in Singapore, tapwater GH is about 3-5 range, depending on the location. :)

@@LitiAquaria Lucky you. My tap water GH is 1, so have to remineralize everytime. (Now using RO, since not much difference btwn tap and RO for me) There was a time that i was not aware about the importance of GH, so my stem plants used to grow very weak. As if they have no bones. Thanks for replying!

You're most welcome, Patrick. I guess I am lucky then. The tap water here in Singapore is generally OK for planted tank. Cheers, buddy! 😊

Do you use any chiller? Do you vacuum the substrate? How do you so with complex layout? Thanks!
@LitiAquaria
@LitiAquaria 4 года назад
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I use chiller for this tank, temperature setup at 26 deg C. I only do the vacumming the sand area weekly. Substrate vacuuming only be done when I do replanting. Regular maintenance would help to keep this layout complex. :)

Beautiful. Just one query related to Teco chiller you have installed. Is it effective to reduce the temperature less than five degree than room temperature
@LitiAquaria
@LitiAquaria 3 года назад
Hi buddy, Teco chiller is very effective in my view, my room temperature is normally about 29-30degC, I set the temperature for chiller at 26degC. There is no issue with bringing temperature down. Just to take note the higher room temperature, the faster chiller will kick in to bring the temperature in the tank down to the set degree. Overall, it is very good experience for me so far. 😊

@@LitiAquaria recently saw some pics you posted we’re the chiller is maintaining a temperature of 26 degree but on account of high humidity condensation has happened on the tank. Do you have any mechanism to overcome the same or just let the tank remain so
@LitiAquaria
@LitiAquaria 3 года назад
@@devc7115 Yes, condensation happened recently on the glasswall but not all the time so I just leave it like that and wipe the glass with cloth. If I increase the temperature setting a bit like 27degC, may be it would be better. :D

I just came across this channel and subscribed to it. You have some amazing scapes. Great work! How long have you had the Vivid 2 Lights? Any issues with them? I have read that their ballasts/adapter box run very hot, but does the light run hot at 100% intensity?
@LitiAquaria
@LitiAquaria 3 года назад
Thanks a lot, Vijay. I have no issue with Vivid II at all. Have been using it for almost a year now. I set 100% intensity at all time. Adapter is hot when the light running, that is normal for all high wattage lighting in my opinion. I keep it in my cabinet at the safe place anyway. Lighting itself got fan attached to cool down and it is very silent. I don't even notice that fan is running. 😁 Overall, very good experience. I would highly recommend it. 👍

@@LitiAquaria Thank you! Does it retain the ramp up/ramp down program after a power cut? Also, has it turned on by itself outside of the set schedule? I read a couple of posts on a forum where folks mentioned these issues.
@LitiAquaria
@LitiAquaria 3 года назад
I don't use ramp up/ ramp down function actually. I only use the app to set my preferred spectrum and then using external timers to control the on/off. It can keep the setting of spectrum as you set.
