I wish 50's style melodies made a comeback. I wish artists today implemented a 50's vibe to their music. I love the Overtones since they're one of the few modern artists that did this.

All of them could make it on their own. All their voices individually could bring a small audience, but their voices harmonised is what makes it sound so great

I don't know about deep as hell, definitely deeper than the others though. He probably had the most energy and projection out of the group though. Overall a good attempt at the song. Wish that guy would have sang lead though the guy they had sing it was closer to the original in terms of key.

Correction - "Runaround Sue" was originally sung by Dion. It was his first hit after leaving the Belmonts. He was backed up by the wonderful, unlisted Del-Satins, two of whom later joined the Late, Great Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge.

I think their cover is fantastic, but doing a cover isn't really about making it your own, covers started as a way to sing popular songs to make crowds enjoy a show, the original way covers were done was to actually do it exactly like it sounds on the track...from the humble opinion of a musician who actually started in a cover band. The hate you're talking about, I don't see how anyone can hate this. They sound nice, they aren't Dion, but they still sound nice.
