I hope whoever tries this doesn't give up after 5 minutes. This will take a lot of time to get right but will pay dividends in your set if you stick with it.
Lots of great detail and I like the speed u explain things, it's not fast that I have to go back or pause the video to understand yet it's not to slow I want to skip.
Rekordbox's sampler has a TON of capability, but most of it is hidden away. It has a full-fledged sequencer with multiple recordable banks. I ended up mapping the memory and track search buttons (which I don't use) to sequencer controls and didn't regret it at all.
On the fence about buying the DDJ-1000 just because it’s been a few years since release. Wouldn’t want to buy it then a updated version comes out. Let me know your thoughts
You forgot to go over how to SWITCH BETWEEN the Hot Cues during Pitch Play!!! :( Mine will only let me Pitch Play from the start/first cue point... how do I switch to any other cue that I've set?????
Does anybody know how to remap a pad mode to pitch play. For example, I have a pioneer DDJ-SR and it doesn’t have a pitch play mode. So can I remap my loop mode for instance and remap it to pitch play? I use Serato DJ pro
Hi. I have a question. Why does it cut me for a moment serato when I load for example a track on tent b? Everything still works only when loading the track it does. Thank you for the answer.
I can't quite figure out how to get into pitch play mode on my pioneer ddj-1000srt? hitting shift + sampler button and nothing happens, anyone hace any advice? thanks!
Hi Jamie. Please, help me. Rekordbox have keyboard pad mode, serato have pitch play pad mode. But rekordbox have key shift pad mode, serato doesn't heve this function, or this is possible pad function on serato like key shift pad mode on rekordbox?
You can MIDI map the key shift up and down buttons found next to the key indicator in Serato, some controllers have dedicated controls for this purpose.
@@Crossfader Yes, i know, but i want to some times jump to +5 semitones or -3 semitones, i have key shift + and -, but i want jump to some few semitones at once, how can i do in serato on my ddj xp2?
Nice video, thank you! Does someone know where I can find the keyboard mappings for the different parameters Jamie is editing directly on his controller? Would be wonderful...
All of this is very fun guys, but personally ( very personal point of view ) all this Pads skills are useless. When I go to play clubs or festivals, I have in front a classic 4 Nexus 2NSX deck set up. No pads, and no one in the crowd gives a single f**K about this kind of transitions. They just wanna dance and get wasted. This is just for home/youtube videos fun. Focus on basics. No offence intended... not here for hating. Peace.
Ew. Use the hot cues to properly mix your leads. Dont use them for direct drops into new tracks. Ew that's not djin. Ill call you dj hot cue if you'd like. Lame.
