There was probably a funding issue that exacerbated a lot of the points you brought up. A lot of it comes down to the decision to hire relatively inexperienced people for key positions, but the reason people sometimes do that is because they're trying to save money on overhead
Ash needs to fire 75% of the team, remove flick stepping and slipping altogether, add static/fixed camera angles, and ring card girls with jiggle physics 🥊
@@thatsamazin-the foot work is definitely awkward but its bc its realistic and moving with boxing footwork is awkward and limited brother what they are fucking up is that they are making everything with realism in mind but they refuseeeeeeee to make the game flow in a realistic way, they are trying to make a realistic boxing arcade now so all the technical realistic boxing is slowly getting pushed out in favor of cheesy/non boxing moves

A few months ago I had to leave their Discord. Too many shills. The 1st time I lost hope was when Rack's was downplaying the importance of realistic animations and presentation to me. Seeing footage of Fanatico using exploits online didn't help either.
I worry the slow progress is just going to dry up the well of funds and leave no motivation to put out a great game. They will wrap it up and say that they will do it better in the follow up. I think the artists are obviously getting all the work done but the rest of the team is far behind. This is the first update that every mode is unplayable for me. Watching the round table I just felt like it was a joke to them by the look on their faces. I feel like a lot of the communication is not for the community but rather attempts for more funding. I see them going to events while way behind on the roadmap. I hope I'm wrong but I've lost much of my excitement. Claimer Uncut is one of the few channels where I can like the video at the start of watching because I know it will be on point. Nice work as always.
Thanks Tim, I'm not one to preach integrity without leading by example, so I'll always represent the people at the cost of cutting my own ties! I'm not sure of SCI's arrangement with the Saudi's "Riyadh Season", although I'm assuming they're covered for perhaps another year, maybe more since they love to throw away money. The Design / 3D team seem the most competent. Development however the red flags are pretty obvious when you consider the progress made since Ash's own involvement in development. The rountables, I watch roughly a minute and them I'm out for the points you mention.
Awesome points! I’ve heard a lot of hiring and firing went on before this update but just going off of what we got some more of that needs to happen as harsh as that sounds. I see the potential like we all do but it has to be executed correctly by those who know what they’re doing.
Thanks Jay, hopefully going forward Ash will do a full audit and evaluate "resource" value, hopefully the Saudi deal involves funding not just promotion, at least then he'll have more time to reset the wrongs.. at the end of the day, if they release a great update the whole community will be in full support and jump back on ship.
It's sad that they gave us this update with the bugs, but they did address them thankfully. The biggest issue for me is adding woman fighters when they clearly know that online fights aren't focused with them. They removed cruiserweight because it was not being used, but they kept woman division despite it suffering the same problem as the cruiser division if not worse tbh. I don't like this kind of approach, you cannot be a hypocrite in the game industry you just make yourself look clueless. This was meant to be our big final update for 2023 and it just falls incredibly flat it might have been different if they added some big star power names like Klitschko, Golovkin, Monzon, Hagler, Hearns, Duran you know the list could go on and on of these world class fighters but they gave us who?
what annoys me is that the majority of boxing fans are men and most of us don't really pay attention to women's boxing. Granted it is a great addition and they can have great bouts on tv but in reality you won't see female fans as involved with the sport as men are. So for future releases they should cater more towards well-known male fighters and release one female per roster pack. The women's roster is nearly the fraction of what the total is anyway.

when I watched last round table, Undisputed team said everything correctly, sounded the right things, and I was really looking forward to this update! almost all the things that were discussed at the round table became worse after the update)) how?? Undisputed team need to do these things: - Increase damage to make battles more dangerous and realistic. - Add large stamina penalties for punches that miss the boxer and take away stamina for sudden movements and dodging, so that players cannot run and twitch continuously around the ring. - You definitely need to add a stun effect after missed hits! the game should have a stun after missed punches, this is an important mechanic of the boxing simulator, without the effect of a stun after missed punches, it is impossible to strike, hit the target and get out of range, the opponent simply immediately strikes back after a missed blow, timings do not work without a stun and the boxing gameplay in general doesn't work. - it is necessary to reduce the block strip, the block should break much faster. - the block in the game needs to be significantly improved, now the block works randomly, it very often does not work and it feels unfair and random, the block should block better. - we need to improve the performance of the servers, now it’s impossible to play online, the impact lag is very strong.
Tey need to add new animations and systems to punch misses aswell as points for miss accurracy recover speed and they stil have every punch rocking your head back and to the side like a knockout .what a joke
For the love of god this is why you’re not part of the dev team and why this games direction is all over the place…. Did you just say YOU NEED A STUN FOR MISSED PUNCHES. If you can’t hit an opponent after he misses a punch then that’s a skill issue. We don’t need updates like that, it’s not realistic at all wtf are you talking about. When you miss a punch Irl you’re not obligated to stand there after you miss.
when a boxer misses a blow to the head, he cannot help but be stunned; only a boxer with a very strong head or if this missed blow was weak can ignore this damage. Now in the game, if you catch your opponent at the timing and deliver, for example, an accurate blow with a strong hand or a power jab, nothing happens, not even a micro stun. 1 - this does not allow you to develop success and continue combinations, since the opponent can instantly strike you, you cannot catch the opponent and throw a combination of 3 strikes without missing strikes in response, because there is no effect from missed strikes. 2 - this does not allow you to leave the distance without missing a blow in response, since there is no stunning effect and he can instantly start waving his fists in response. there is no stun effect in "Undisputed", except for that scripted stun that occasionally triggers randomly, look at the gameplay of the UFС or real boxing, the fighters do not wave their fists at each other at the same time while missing blows, if you miss a blow, then you either go into defense or leave with distance, because if you try to strike immediately (after a missed strike) you will most likely be punished. in Undisputed I can hit you with a right straight, and in a split second miss a blow from you in response, my hit does not knock down your blow and does not have any stun, this is wrong.

I played the game. I'm upset with the game play. I'm seeing things that remind me of EA sports errors in fight night champion. When this Beta 1st came out it was a real simulation of boxing. Now it's a arcade game and I'm not happy. The Copy box scoring sucks when you showing boxing skill like a Apollo Creed jab wins fights every time. If you not hitting me and I some how blocked a thousand punches and you blocked half and I still lose the match....? Man I'm not with the game period.
They promised so many boxers in the beginning and didnt even add half of them. they are hyping this up since 2020. when are we gonna get the full game with full roster? 2030? Nah, its better just forget about this game and stick to Fight Night Champion with Modern CAFs and simulation based sliders

They’ve dropped the ball on a lot of little things and they have lost the trust of a majority of the community. This is sad because they have made improvements in some areas but when the game breaking things have yet to be addressed no one is going to care. No body cares that you painted your walls if you still have no plumbing or electrical

Fight Night Champion is still relevant even after 12 years, and has an active community. While this game is already been dead even before arrival. People only hype this up because they hate EA. im not defending EA, but Fight Night Champion was exceptionally a masterpiece. While this game is just an overhyped hype job nothing more.

Overhyped clunky garbage, no strategy to win just spam your way out of it, roster is full of nobodies from UK while lacks Tyson, Foreman, Holyfield, Pac and much more. No CAF, no worthy game modes, PS3 like visuals despite being 2020 game, awful gameplay, terrible punch/hit animations, clunky mechanics, bad reactions to the damage, awful chipping sounds when punching, punches feel no weight, feels like rockem sockem. At least FNC was fun, this game isnt even fun to play. looks like some lame indie mobile game ported to PC

You're not being too harsh, not harsh enough. Too many yes men, and this game has been unplayable for most of its life. The game was playable, with plenty of potential a year ago. The game still had a lot of issues. No one seems to want to address how terrible power punch animations are, or the fact that normal punches look like "arm punches". There's no snap, no body behind them. Still have to drop a health bar to drop another health bar, still no vulnerability. Head movement is utterly useless and feels like trying to bend a pole. Still have hooks with more range than a jab or straight, because straights don't extend, but hooks stretch the arms. Been this way since launch. The whole thing is so stiff looking, and punches are so weightless, it looks and feels like rockem sockem robots. The devs haven't addressed this, and most the community denies it. They'll keep adding features to a game with a busted foundation, this game will never be good because they are focused more on finishing the product than they are with fixing it. But a building won't stand on a busted foundation. They are rushing to finish a house over a sinkhole.
hmmmm on my game, spamming the weave mechanic has been slowed down, due to input lag, u cannot spam it like before, he does a side step before doing the second weave mechanic if you not time it perfectly. Overall, good video man, they clearly dont care OR have too many yes man and thinks people who complains are just negative.. but damn I DONT UNDERSTAND how rac became gameplay director ?

Yes its still OP cuz u can spam it and stamina doesnt decrease.. also.. i fought a ''very good'' player ( more like a very good cheeser) who were running AND USED that weave mechanic on the backfoot perfectly, he was very hard to touch.. that weave mechanic was there to stop people to run..@@ClaimerUncut
I've watched every update you've made on Undisputed and agreed everytime. Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with SCI and I don't see this project going much further with the playerbase dropping to all time lows even after recent updates.
Yup, this is the part where I'm left scratching my head. From launch and 3 months in, it was a competent boxing game minus the explouts and power / stamina variables which required tweaking.
Fight Night Chamion stays much better on any point : better graphics, better rooster, better animations, better damages, better gameplay, better IA, and career mode

Yeah Bro, you'd think the Hotfix would be the solution.. however it's likely we get no more updates until the campaign, which I assume is all for show to attract investors, to where they'll say all negative critique is "normal" since the game isn't finished.

Damn, brother. Im beginning to think we've been scammed. Isay this because i actually purchased it when it first was available. I stopped playing about 3 months ago. Too many exploits most players use. It was pretty fun to play when you matched a player who actually tries to box in-game. But now with the button release, im not sure i even want to try anymore 😂. I MUST ADD THIS! Your boxing with Hatton was the cleanest shit I've ever seen in-game!!! WOOOO! That got me excited. Good ol' days.. dead and gone now 😢
Hey Shawn, I think Ash had genuine intentions to create a great boxing game, however he's most likely hands off, and those in charge with no real experience will sadly learn the hard way that you have to live to learn.. you can't have all the answers without working in the trenches. Thanks Bro, I had an Undisputed "underdog" series, where I matched up against high ranking players using Overpowered fighters, beating them with low rated fighters, if they can fix the game eventually I plan to jump back on it.

I use to be upset that the game isn’t on console but I don’t think it’s even gonna to make it to console. They had ample time with this game before it was released and it’s STILL lacking. Microsoft and Sony are gonna wait for fight night instead. They are not gonna invest in this

I wish i could have gotten a refund on this game, each update it worse, i just tried an online game and the guy couldnt miss at all, he was hitting me half way across the ring constantly and most the "landed punches" didnt even touch me.
I'm not optimistic about career mode. I feel I got my moneys worth, as I bought the game soon as it dropped and got a good amount of hours out of it. But, they can't even get the boxing to feel right in their boxing game...

They need to add miss shots reaction speed etc .its to much like rock em sock em robots also the heads move to the side with every jab and ounch very unrealstic.if your gead gets punched to the side your rocked or knocke out
I agree totally on updates I’m CHill215 and I play mostly unranked because of gameplay and cheating I’m currently 65-20 and I’m taken 10 of my losses due to spam and facial damage. Long way to go Still appreciating the early access. Somehow I would love to be apart of the testing team
Sadly it does feel that way, although they have funds I'm sure.. And I'd expect in Feb or March for many issues to be fixed as they release the Career mode.
Wtf happened tp the original game they showed us back in like 2018? I did just see some offline play & it looked alot better than the footage of online play which is why i dont really play any game online b/c people always find a way to exploit the game & play it how it wasn't intended to play. I play fight night champion legacy mode all the time on goat level & have fun. Im a fan of boxing b/c of the intelligence that comes with being a strategic boxer. Its like physical chess to me. Im not into just swinging until somebody drops. I like later round knockouts where I feel like u didnt get knocked out just b/c of my power but b/c i wore u down...If i wouldve stood toe to toe i would've probably get knocked out, but instead i like doing the jabs to the body throughout the fight, using my off hand the majority of the fight & later makin u think im throwing that same punch & catching u with the powershot from the strong hand, & most importantly hiting & not getting hit, maintaining stamina...So the footage i saw earlier today against the ai gave me hope
I uninstalled this and decided to wait for the final release. It's great fighting with fighters that haven't been in a game in years but the bugs not worth it.
I'm actually very glad I never bought the game because if it's just getting worse I might just have to see what EA is gonna cook (full of fucking micro transactions I bet) no wonder they don't put the games out for PC

On release the game was in a functional state, with every update they "Promote fighters and venues" instead of listening to user feedback. The game has regressed.. this isn't a case of small progress of which we'd offer support, it's gone backwards and this is due to internal issue's within Steel City, which is why i offered a solution at the end (the part you probably didn't even watch). I have no time for toxic positivity, that's what you're portraying and what I alluded to as a problem within SCI's team, we see it in their discord too. Either acknowledge objectively how the game has regressed, or continue to paint the corporate entity as the victim, and remain a part of the problem.

Yeah I think that move could be replaced with a pivot system, but even then that HAS to be a stamina deterrence. I can't rack my brain as to how an entire team have not flagged the fact you can slip the entire fight with no stamina drain
Wait did the gameplay director use to work or be tight with EA , if so that a major red flag because we have all heard the rumours of after they made ufc 5 EA going to work on a new fight night so EA would want to sabotage undisputed
He worked as a community manager for EA, he also ntroduced the EA Game Changer program where they finesse youtubers into essentially thinking they're a part of the EA Family, fly them out to events pay for hotels..etc. This level of manipulation would be a red flag for most.. not to mention, someone who has ties with a direct competitor who could easily take a back alley bag to sabotage the game.

dude imagine being a dev and seeing all this..I'm sure it's depressing because they KNOW what needs to be done but the actual managers and business directors dictate everything and just choose to rush the Game to save their own face
This had/has so much potential, i agree 100% that the game was better on its initial release. Sure it was flawed but the direction they took it :\ ahh. The original movement system was much better, more complex but less noob friendly, you could out position opponents hitting them on their blind side but they changed it. The localised damage system being removed and over time changed to a universal health bar as i understand? It still has body head but once stunned the bar is shared. That was a step back too, the perk system give Hatton "liver shot" think Canelo too but realistically whats it mean anymore? It should be something you adapt too "oh shit my health bar is up after a few hits i need to be careful". Theres alot of problems here, i dont know if they are going for some ESG money or something but they said they felt pressured to tone down the blood and cuts, you're never gonna recreate something like Marciano vs Walcott 1 with this build or any build so far. Movement has become like fight night with less "magnetism" but its for lack of better words "noob friendly" but so limited imo its detrimental to their goal of creating the most sim boxing game to date. Still alot of potential, still early in development but some bad choices so far. The idea that this punch on release stops spammers is just foolish to me, the stick has no delay and imo you shouldnt aim to balance the game around either the top end of the games players (statistically speaking) or exploiters as its like trying to balance Cod around the guys who use noob tube style weapons or camp a corner with a shotgun. Meta in every game is no fun but some players are driven there, I played loads of fnc was top 500 and played with around 5 straight rear hand punches per fight. I would occasionally beat someone who had hundreds of wins and under 10 losses. What i learned is that these people are playing hundreds of hours pressing one button, how can you try to balance around meta and that mindset? When this came out people were trying fnc tactics and the movement let you humiliate them, there will always be a meta and people will always exploit it but if the game was fun enough just playing as intended that it off set that maybe people would only integrate meta tactics and no use them in isolation
well the devs are saying they never marketed this as a boxing sim so from that we can tell they are liars and we can infer the direction they want this game to go and why they made some of the changes they’ve made
Def Respect This Video, The Game Has Taken a Deep Dive on this last update. I can't play this at all. Just take me back to when people was spamming lol I'll learn to get away and counter it. The game is unfortunately broken at this point in time.
Game is unplayable. Would be embarrassed to recommend it. 9 months ago it was easy to get excited for it but now it feels horrible to play. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for 265 hours. Not anymore, give me a good game!
i think they have a process. in fact, i know 100% they do. Do not think they aren't working hard on this game. It's going to be a big game. They take things one step at a time focusing on more fighters venues and visuals first. then they can focus on functionality. This has and always will be how game studios operate. I want to reiterate that i agree it is not player friendly and that doesn't matter one bit. You will wait until the game is properly made THEIR WAY or you can go play something else in the meantime. either way we have your money sukah.
