Fun fact: in the original release Gloomtail is the only one who knows Hooktail is female. In the remake everyone knows already.

*whistling the Blue Danube Waltz to combat the awe, excitement and fear of entering the gorgeous Palace of Shadows* Seems like Zorin is having a great time so far. I think the "lighted passage being the way forward" puzzle, copied from its use in Paper Mario's Chapter 8, is quite confusing to many people. Be on the look out for a similar puzzle where you need to keep track of "lighted up" things later on. And with meeting and defeating Bonetail, Zorin has encountered all three of the dragons in this game, not to mention he has gotten a key item for moving forward and downward. I hope Zorin wasn't stuck on the Astronomy Tower puzzles for too long and that he enjoyed reading the message from the ancients in its entirety at the end of them.

In the original you didn't have to fight gloomtail first. You could just solve all the puzzles.
