The Panthers Made The Biggest Mistake NFL History 

It has legit been 6 weeks of football, to call Bryce a bust or even to say that they made a mistake picking him over stroud is absurd. It took Tua, Allen, and even Peyton manning a few years in the league to develop.

One day, Bryce might: Read the defense better. Get a better O-line. Acquire receivers who can get more separation. Have a world class running back. Play with a defense that limits the points of the opponent. Here's what Bryce will never do: Grow taller. Have a rocket arm. Be anything other than small framed. Was Bryce the biggest mistake in NFL history, of course not. Is he the biggest mistake the Panthers have ever made. Probably.

Panthers fans should pump the brakes a little bit. Yes, Stroud is awesome and us Texans fans are thrilled to have him. That doesn't mean Young won't be a quality QB. It's normal for it to take time. Please don't let the greatness of CJ Stroud cause unrealistic expectations that don't make sense. He's going to play a lot more games than Anthony Richardson this year. The size is no guarantee to save anyone. Here's to hoping he's more Drew Brees than Doug Flutie 🍺 and that your meddling owner learns that no one should aim to be like Dan Snyder.

Bryce will probably get there. I’m a Texan fan and excited to have CJ.

Nobody lobbied more for CJ stroud to the Texans then me.. nobody.. all in the faces of all the experts who run their channels for Texans content. All of whom wanted Young.. and were so pissed that the Texans did not get the #1 over all pick to go get Young.. Me, I was all in to move up to #1, but to go get Stroud.. But I have to thank the Panthers for taking Young, so the Texans could finally start to get somewhere.. think of what would be said of the Texans if they had had the first over all pick and took Young, and the Panthers grabbed Stroud.. Texans 0-6 and the Panthers 3-3.. and even if the Panthers had taken Stroud #1, I would have pushed for the Texans to take Anthony Richardson.. Young was not #1 or #2 on my list.. but I would have taken him before Will Levis.. The Texans finally got their QB.. and come draft this coming year, if Penex is available come round #1 for the Texans who are picking currently around 20, I would take him as well.. and send packing Davis Mills, in fact, I would be looking to shop Davis Mills before the Trade deadline end of Month.. and would be happy to get a 3rd round pick for him.. Many people say, if you have 2 QB's you really have none, I say, if I have 2 QB's I have 2 QB's.. and I say my math is far superior.. Maybe the Patriots would not mind grabbing Davis Mills for the rest of this year.. they could not do worse with him then they have with Jones..

Theilen is his ONLY consistent receiver and is top 10 in the league in receiving. He gets one more receiver and a OL help the difference will be noticeable. Also Thomas Brown will be calling the plus now, so we should see something next game.

Since Teppers purchase of the team it has declined. He is at war with locals regarding the training facility he wants a new stadium and his coaching moves have been a real disaster. I feel certain he is going to move the team.

There's a better than 90% chance that CJ Stroud would be struggling on the Panthers in a very similar way as Bryce Young if CJ was drafted by them, and that Bryce Young would be seeing the success that CJ Stroud is having on the Texans if the Texans drafted Bryce Young. Better coaches better system, better chance at development and success, better teammates in Houston, believe it or not; I can't believe I'm saying that.

Young is going to be a monster

I have been a fan of Bryce Young since high school and college. He has never been on a losing team so I can imagine his frustration and disappointment. The Carolina Panthers are one of the worst teams in the NFL and it is not because of Bryce Young. The Panthers GM and HC has done a poor job of drafting in good players to help the team. I was praying he would be drafted by the Texans that already was deep in great players but simply needed a QB after Deshaun Watson was traded. Now CJ Stroud is enjoying great players around him on the Texans and Bryce is stuck with a nontalented Carolina team. Then you have these idiots that want to blame Bryce and say that Carolina should have selected Stroud instead. I got news for you Carolina would still have the same losing record and Bryce would be showing out for the Texans. This is why USC QB Celeb Williams who is expected to go #1 in the 2024 NFL draft stated, "If he was projected to be drafted by a losing team that he would stay another year at USC". Carolina needs a new HC, OC, DC and acquire key players that can play. If you hate Bryce Young so I wish I wish Carolina work out a trade for him during the upcoming season for a first round pick and watch him he does on a team that have a great coaching staff with great players in place. You same crying ass people will be saying we should not have traded him. Carolina needs to completely rebuild their team just like the Texans and Jaguars did including hiring a new coach and GM. No more talk.

I disagree with your opinion that the the Texans are a "historically bad" team. They have been bad of late however they have won their division before and have had some pretty good teams with Gary Kubiak

To add context you have to remember how much the Panthers gave up for the first overall pick. It's not a simple Stroud performong better than Young comparison. It's the fact that Carolina gave up the draft capital they need to improve things around their qb.

It's ridiculous seeing people act like anyone could predict Stroud would perform like one of the best QBs ever. Blaming the Panthers for taking who was the actual public top pick is ridiculous. Whoever was first was going to pick Young over Stroud. No most rookie QBs don't come in "lighting the world on fire" Also the Texans have been tanking for years before they finally got Stroud. Their team was bad in part because they were trying to be bad, so they could draft good talent. Stroud and their coaching changes, as well as the other talent they have been able to accumulate. Have all played big roles in why they are doing so well.

If it was me I probably would have made a bit of a biased decision to get Anthony Richardson because he was most like Cam Newton but wanting something different than Cam Newton 2 I would have gone CJ Stroud. Bryce Young is a great systems QB and once the Panthers implement an actual offensive system then he will be better than what you see.

I wouldn't say the Panthers made the biggest mistake in NFL history by drafting Bryce Young. That honor goes to the Raiders (JaMarcus Russell). The mistake is ownership. David Tepper is a bad owner. They need to get Bryce some help. Let's see how C.J. plays in his second year.
