I think generally bullying has got better over the decades. I heard from a lot of friends about their experience of British schools in the 80's and 90's. There were a lot more bullying and racism but now every state schools will have at least anti-bullying policies and from the experience of my children, it hasn't been a big problem. Schools in general want to tackle bullying. Of course, it still exists but teenagers are teenagers and with the social media, a new kind of bullying is created. In addition, the problem becomes more visible because of internet. Once there is a bad incident, it will spread like fire on the media.
