Great tour! This is my "home" mall, even took driver's ed inside the Sears. Before the refresh in 2001, the mall had a much stronger "central park" theme with benches, trees, and street lamps. If you look closely you can still see the groups of alabaster pigeons up in the steel rafters, a remnant of the original decor.

I don’t know if it was still around since you’ve been born, but the skating rink reminded me of the Monroeville Mall when my family lived in Pittsburgh in the 60s and early 70s.

i remember seeing the rink in the 1970s .the malls in the pittsburgh aera are closing first parkway center in green tree alleghany center north side in pittsburgh and the biggest mall centry 3 in west mifflin pa

this was my childhood mall!! when I was a kid there was no public bathroom. you had to go behind some of the food court restaurants in this looooong hallway to use what I assume was intended as an employee bathroom lol

Hi Wallie. Thanks for the Memorial Weekend tribute at the beginning. And what a beautiful mall. You had me with the carousel 🎠. And for an idea have you considered a driving video of the Bankhead Hey. Part of it still exists in Parker county. Beginning around Aledo, through Weatherford and going to Mineral Wells. It was the original Mother road. Large sections are on private land but some do still exist.

I love The Parks Mall. I don't ice skate but I love the way that rink makes the mall feel and sound. I will go into the arcade, even though it's too expensive. I'll still sink some dollars into it every once and a while.

Went here in 2020 just to see the Sears store which only had another week left. Sadly the replacement Hometown Sears is currently in the process of liquidation along with dozens of Hometown stores. The rest of the mall looks really nice and reminds me a bit of Memorial City Mall in Houston. Next time we go out there, we need to hit up Northeast, Parks at Arlington, LA Gran Plaza, and Ridgmar. A mall that I recommend for you is the Music City mall in Lewisville. In the evenings musicians play pianos, and sing in the middle of the mall

Very interesting video, I actually live down the road from this mall and I don’t really pay it any notice haha, nothing against it I just don’t go there, though I was unaware the sears had closed, learn something new everyday! But yeah I am indeed a local, I’ve lived in Arlington all my life ( 32 years )

The parks mall at Arlington opened in 1988 the same year I was born wallieb26 it was milles away to former ktxa studios at 1712 east randol mill road now a parking lot of current rangers home the globe life field you are not see on Google map. I'm from Bedford Texas find something in Bedford Texas and film I would love to see what it looks like down there now I give you a suggestion go to the Old Bedford school house remember going there on field trips and back in the 90s as a kid growing up and maybe you'll get lucky and find something abandoned in Bedford who knows but awesome video of the Arlington Mall I'm probably been in it but can't really remember it

I had somebody do that while I was rail fanning the one time they were on the other side of the track once the train started approaching they crossed onto my side of the track and stood there ass in front of my shot and I had to move the camera boy did that piss me off
