Like in the Old Testament, God identified Himself to Moses in the burning bush as 'I AM THAT I AM', in that moment, Jesus spoke as God, which must have filled with dread those who were seeking to arrest Him, thus drawing back and falling to the ground.
In the original Latin Vulgate he actually says "I AM", which is much more powerful, he essentially proclaims himself as who he really is, God. Just like in Exodus when God said "I am who am"

I don't think this video has it but there is something called the Weeping Tone which is sometimes used for the passion narratives. It seems to be a pretty obscure topic but it would be cool to post a video incorporating that.
During Cathechesis, the cathechist made us ponder, if ressurection for our souls was possible, that if any of us ressurected as a worm, it would be millions of times a shorter distance from God incarnating as a man. And if He made himself humble to this point, what would that say to us? It ringed as perfect sense; the perfect sacrifice, so that no one can claim it wasn't to be, for our salvation.
I was raised Baptist but have always been fascinated with the beauty of Catholicism. There are so many branches in the Christian family, I think it is a nice thing to love each other and learn about our cousins on distant and not so distant branches.
