Hey journalists... Aiyuk is under contract, they aren't trying to franchise tag him. He's playing or sitting out if he doesn't sign a deal (which the niners always do these contracts right before the season starts) and if he doesn't sign, they'll want to trade him before the deadline so they can try to fleece someone in need. The 49ers segment with aiyuk was kinda lame. Taking that lame ass video and acting like just because Brandon said the 49ers don’t want him that means is true is stupid but I guess that’s why at the end of the day Pat will always be a player. I never once have heard anyone legit like lynch or Shanahan say they want him gone and anytime I hear that sort of thing it’s always not from the people themselves. Did they maybe not offer him the deal he was hoping and thus that means I a business sense they don’t want him? Maybe. But obviously they want him I’m pretty sure my browns would love to have him too lol. It’s just funny to me because they harped on that part and if anything the most likely scenario as it stands is he wants to be paid probably top 5 or top 3 money, and the 49ers are probably trying to keep him more like somewhere in 15th-5th in contract value for WRs if they can. I mean really it’s smart on both sides but deebos deal turned out being decent so I wouldn’t be surprised if brandon either gets a deal that in a couple years looks good or he will be gone, I doubt they’d “overpay” him or if overpay is the wrong word then I don’t think they’ll be looking to let aiyuk set the market. Jetta just set the market and he is actually the best receiver so it would be a bad deal if Brandon reset the market again.
