Really like Darius Butler. This show is just incredible. Pat and crew: I know you won't see this but you were mentioned by a Philly radio host (during my early 6:15AM trek to work)station this morning and I just smiled!
🦅 Any Philly fans scouting the draft to see what we could pick up? Can't wait for what Pat has to say about the draft. I think Hurts needs a QB coach and he'll be ok. He's a hell of an athlete it's a timing thing with him. Also slightly off topic. Joel Embiid MVP. Harden to the Sixers?

As a KC fan, we knew if we didn’t get that coin toss we probably weren’t winning. That was the best football game I have ever seen. At this point, I won’t be mad if we loose to the Bills. They are a legit Super Bowl caliber team.
KC better not choke again like last year no excuses Patrick is the best QB to ever live and it's no close so he held to a higher standard that how it works.
What I love about this show is how the gang keeps it real. It's like hanging out with my brothers (from another set of mothers, I guess lol). Tremendous insights, huge heaps of humor, and the guests are always top-notch. Al Michales? Who knew! Great one with TJ.
As a niners fan, Pat is one of my favorite not niner players ever, even as a punter. Although you seem to not care for the niners, your show nonetheless is entertaining and I still watch every week!
So since the NFL changed its overtime rule where a field goal doesn't win on first possession there has been 163 overtime games. For teams who win the coin toss the record is 86-67-10 which means the team who wins the coin toss wins 52% of the time. Why change the rules?
Why does there have to be a sudden death component at all? That’s what never made sense about overtime, if you don’t want them to play another full quarter while gassed then fine, but make it a 10 minute timed period where the clock ends the game not a score. Walk off TDs are dramatic but the ones in overtime are a little bit gimmicky since they aren’t true buzzer beaters. Yes that goes for the old sudden death system too, imagine if the Rams got a chance to respond to Steve Smith’s double overtime TD in 2003? Same with Bills Chiefs here, those games could end up with like college overtime scores except with actual legit TD drives (as opposed to starting on the +25, a way way bigger gimmick than anything in the NFL’s overtime)
retiring early to start a radio show and become an entrepreneur, and not investing your money because of your fear of risk is hilariously inconsistent. ur a character out of a movie. all the best
@@80sbush56 thank you for putting my thoughts into concise, perfect words. The lack of critical thinking skills with some people is hard to believe sometimes.
@@80sbush56 its not much of a bet long term lol. i think he just meant when he first started gettin nfl checks. anyways it doesnt matter, i didnt make the post to poke fun at someones financial choices
My ma never watches sports let alone football. But last night she tuned in with my old man last night and she was on her feet cheering during that whole fourth quarter of the Bills Chiefs game. That’s how good of a game they was.
My mom and step dad are in their mid 70s and while neither are Bills or Chiefs fans, they got rowdy. Mom likes Mahomes because he's a Texas boy, my step dad was pulling for the Bills because he's worried that Mahomes may become a diva if he wins too much too young. Lol It was hilarious watching them both lose their minds in the final minutes of that game. Mom actually dropped an F bomb in there.
Won $2k this weekend on a parlay with the bengals, niners, rams and chiefs. So pretty much do the exact opposite of what pat says and you should be good lol
last two pics not tannehill's fault..... both were tipped but lets not mention that... especially that last one , he hit the dude in the numbers.. watch the game boyz
TWO CHANGES to the Overtime: #1 You can score by running or passing but NO FIELD GOAL. #2. No Sudden Dead, You have 15 minutes on the clock to match or score more than the opponent's score. BUT NO FIELD GOALS!!
Not denying he's great but I think those 2 throws were to open for anyone to say it was all Mahomes, kinda like the Stafford throw the receiver outran the coverage just as much as Stafford made the throw.
Pat definitely the youngest player to get the goat tag . Announces call him a goat like he been playing 20 years in the nfl lol. Idk anyone in any sport to get the goat tag that quick tbh
Idk if the interview was recorded. I think it was just van valkenberg called Rodgers and spoke with him for 28 minutes and then wrote an article about Rodgers using quotes from that interview. I could be wrong tho cuz I couldn't find the interview anywhere but the van valkenberg's article is out there
Still don't know? Special teams. 100% special teams. In a bad weather/defensive game, a blocked kick (3 points) and a blocked punt/TD (7 points) are massive. 10 point swing on 2 plays in a defensive bad weather game had nothing to do with Rodgers or Jimmy G for that matter.
Both teams should get at least one possession on offense. If they are tied after this it should be a tie in regular season. No time limit. Post season they both trade possessions until one has more points. This brings 2 point conversions and a defensive score should end the game as well.
I understand that the defence has to perform, especially in overtime... But a stat showing the coin toss predicts the win over 90% of the time is pretty glaring. Also, I don't have a team preference here, I'm a Colts fan ffs
You guys didn’t mention once today how the whole niners defense wasn’t wearing any sleeves. Bad reporting imo🤣lambo was NOT a game changer for them boys ahta Santa Clara
@@chandlerbetts593 Well I misremembered. It’s 5 plays from the 5yd line and each time you cross the goal line you get 2 points. Not what I was thinking. I was thinking OT was 4th & 15 from the 40. Each team gets a crack.
Packers 49ers: Three stepping out of the end zone? So, maybe it is true there is no punt rush outside of the playoffs. Twenty-five years of NFL experience told me 12-13 years ago there is always a punt rush in the NFL. Have a hunch around 6 punters will be flying into GB sometime in the near future to "have a workout."
McAfee was real quick to emphasize that the teams who won the coin toss won 10 out of the 11 playoff overtime games since the rule change in 2010. The problem with that is 4 of the 10 wins both teams had possession of the ball. So what McAfee should have said was out of the last 11 playoff overtime games 6 of the teams did get a possession in overtime. That means out of the last 11 playoff overtime games both teams had possession 5 times. WHY CHANGE THE RULES?????
@@malignantjewmor8436 because its overtime, not an extra quarter. To get a possession the football team has to do is not let them score a touchdown. Both teams just played 60 minutes both teams had opportunities to win it in regulation. If they play a 75 min game and make overtime an extra quarter it increases the probability of players getting seriously injured. The rules are what they are for player safety
@@chazzfarmer2547 It is an extra quarter though. If no one scores it keeps going. So why not just play an extra quarter but cap the time at 8 or 10 minutes?
@@malignantjewmor8436 because its overtime not an extra quarter. Both teams had 60 minutes to win it If your not good enough to stop them on defense you shouldn't win the game
Funny cause every team Pat chose to win, I wanted them to lose. And it happened!🤣 I was thinking of Pats predictions. After the Rams game I was like, "WEll, Chiefs youre the last one left!"
Think about this: the Bills could have gone for 2 points and probably won the game for sure. Overtime rules are pretty fair because you don’t want to play for 7 hours. Win in regulation!!
Wondered why no one else had mentioned this. Risk losing to the field goal if you miss, but it's a play to put the game away. And if you miss you probably actually play defence those 2 plays!
Rodgers did not play well. However, the special teams for Packers was the worst in NFL in 2021. GB special teams were 20th or worse in 6 of last 8 years. I said many times GB special teams would cost them a game in playoffs. Why have special teams have been so bad for so long? Now the window is closed to win Super Bowl. Could be some rough years coming up for GB fans. Niners should beat the Rams. Rams are a soft team that turns the ball over like a high school team. Chiefs will likely beat Bengals. Bengals defense is not nearly good enough to beat Chiefs.
@@stonecoldkittle4664 dude your defense held the niners to 2 FGs, they played exceptionally well just like the Niners defense. Lewis fumble on the 2nd Drive was a huge factor considering the niners havent figured out yet how to defend the packers and the packers probably would have been up By 2 possessions by the end of the first quarter then. And ofc as you mentioned the packers special teams performance was plain awful
@@jakobbrod8467 Exactly. GB should have had 17 points by halftime, and that blocked punt/touchdown was another 7 points. Just the special teams screwups alone were a 10 point swing.
Can we just have some kind of official announcement by the show that the McAfee Awards is now a thing, starting now? A couple categories could include “Biggest Stooge” for funniest blooper, the “Hammer Dahn” for hardest hit, the “McAfee Catastrophe” for biggest team implosion, the “Clutch n’ Such” for clutchest (and such) play, and a guaranteed trophy to Aaron Rodgers just for your favorite Aaron Rodgers thing from the year.
Great show question for Pat. You went through the technique that you were taught on special teams with the blocked FG and block punt. Didn't you have the same special teams coach as the packers Maurice Drayton?
I think the overtime rules are fine get a stop on d it’s hard but it’s apart of football and when you do get a stop all you have to do is get a field goal, but I wouldn’t be mad if they were changed
This Chiefs fan still doesn’t like the overtime rule regardless if we got the better end of the stick this time. We are also confident that if there were more fair rules we would have won this year as well as 2019 and Tom should have one less super bowl win.
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 So your saying the bills don’t deserve the win Bc they didn’t secure it in 4 quarters. Neither did the chiefs. So your saying no team deserves a win so let’s let luck play a major role. I disagree with that
Like I said last week on here, if the Bengals spend that 60 mill and use some high draft picks on some o linemen and use the rest on defense, watch aht for the next decade!!
Pat, as a long-time die hard Chiefs fan I can tell you that we in Kansas City can not stand Mahomes' brother or wife either. He is such a great guy and competitor and it's a shame that they act the way they do in his spotlight. They are a huge embarrassment.
