Nathan hale nothing you said about bunker hill is correct at all. What actually happened is first off the other hill was called Breeds hill not reeds hill. Secondly, they intentionally set up defenses on breeds hill for strategic positioning as it would be easier to defend than bunker hill. It worked in fact, as the British regulars attempted to climb the hill two times and both times were pushed back by the militia. The third time they were successful only due to the continental running out of ammo and having to retreat. Technically a British victory but they suffered 1000 casualties to the continental 400 casualties. That’s what actually happened. The strategy was correctly placed.

Fun fact, in this time frame the Brit's considered it ungentlemanly to shoot officer's as it has been said a British Major had an opportunity to shoot one George Washington but it went against this code of warfare. That same Major was killed by a Continental Army sharpshooter as the colonist's and the Continental Army thought otherwise and didn't particularly care about that code of warfare.
