Sorry for you guys-sometimes the cynical an outlook you express here can steal away an opportunity to experience joyful rather than derisive laughter. This movie certainly provided an entertaining, joyful experience for me, and for the friends I went to see it with. We all heartily recommend this movie. It is lots of fun, a source of gentle wisdom and a chance to feel a warm connection with others. To quote the lyrics of an old but familiar Vietnam War era pop song which may seem schmaltzy but also rings true: What the world needs now is love, sweet love It's the only thing that there's just too little of What the world needs now is love, sweet love No, not just for some but for everyone

This was the best movie I’ve seen in YEARS.

This movie has had me very intrigued since the first trailer. Sure, it looks derivative, but in a heart warming way. And as someone whom has done a lot of work with Special Olympics, I love the way the seem to be treating Zach. I will be going to see this opening weekend.

Wtf Happened to Double Toasted? Remember when they actually watched movies and critiqued them but if it was fun they still have a fair shot? Now they fall into the “Movie Critic” circle and put their Nose up on movies. “Ah I’ve seen this before so it’s predictable”. NO SHIT! Marvel does that shit all the time and you praise them for been unique and innovative. Every movie uses the same trope....it’s how they execute it that makes a difference. Can we have korey and Martin from spill again? Or even the beginning of Double toasted when they weren’t snobby critics?

One of the years finest films. Shia Labeouf, Dakota Johnson, Thomas Hayden Church are all phenomenal. But it's really Zack Gottsagen that gives a star studded performance. Tyler is out of work and he lost his brother so he decides to go rogue but then bumps into this disabled kid who dreams of being a pro wrestler on TV. But Eleanor his care provider worries about him, not just his stability but his safety too. The thing is Zack wants to be treated like everyone else. That's pretty much what Tyler does on this long and hard adventure of living no matter if you're normal or not. More movies of this magnitude have to be told to branch out to the community, it's so rare to have a film about a kid with Down syndrome. Even a disabled person can have a big heart with a big dream. Being mentally challenged doesn't make you a good guy or bad guy. You can still be your own person. The pacing of the movie is very good and you are rooting for Zack to have his wishes fulfilled and not be let down. He even has a strength very few people have. It's very touching and funny. Btw the ending isn’t that crazy, they stated before Zack is very strong at the beginning. Plus that romance was expected or maybe you just don’t remember the trailer very well.

So hard to find a quality movie that doesn’t include boobs, war, reality shows, fake ass people...etc etc Stumbled upon this last night and me and my boyfriend both loved it. WTF movie did u guys watch ? Look at it this way, if someone gave both Corey or Martin this script and said make a good movie BOTH of you wouldn't have a Fucking clue and would make a shitty movie. Point Blank Period. This was a good movie from start to finish but you guys had to dig way deep to try and find fault in some way shape or form. The first 90% of this movie was among my favorite of the year. However, I thought they kind of missed with the ending, which is unfortunate, because I thought there were some things to work with. Don't know if it wasn't fleshed out enough, or if they just missed the mark, but it was a little unfortunate. Still a fantastic movie overall, though. Glad I checked it out.

I don't think Dakota Johnson is the problem, I am guessing the true miscreant is the script. A (very) few actors can elevate their material, Dakota Johnson is not currently at that creative level. Give her dumb material and you will get a dumb presentation. I can suspend disbelief on Zak and his journey. However it is a bridge way the f**** too far to imagine Dakota Johnson is into Shia LaBeouf's character.

Something is going on with your guy's audio. The trailer's and when u guys talk, the levels aren't right. sometimes its too loud and sometimes its too quiet. also the outro audio is messed up too

Haven't seen Double Toasted Reviews in a long time and good to know they haven't changed. Every other reviewer is giving this movie an average of an A grade. And they give these low grades. Terrible. Im 100% done with this channel.

I absolutely hate these types of movies. Napoleon Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine, Nacho Libre, Simon Birch, What's Eating Gilbert Grape. They are not funny, but somehow always get critical acclaim.
