A common theme in comics is that without Penguin in control of organized crime things would be much worse. I love that this episode essentially showed how he brought everyone together under his umbrella to overthrow the Sal and Sofia
Vic had seen people died. Buried dead bodies. Stuffed Alberto's body into the car. But this was his first kill. And it was a "friend" he's known since he was a kid. I like how well presented him being rattled by it he is.
Makes sense to me that the Batman isn't in the picture. He's not about organised crime / drugs at this moment. With the flood going on and people left to defend themselves, I imagine the Batman we seen at the end of the film would focus on saving people instead of putting fear into criminals. Would love a mention or two about him but it's year 2 of crime fighting and he's not as established... Iceberg Lounge guys didn't even bother to let him in in the film. The mobs clearly isn't afraid of him (yet).
I didn’t say I wanted him in the picture or involved with this story, I just want to know he’s doing something. A background news report, someone mentioning rumors about him, it just sounds like he saved those people and took a vacation. He was feared in the movie by the start of it because of his reputation and if he’s saving and defending people in need, you’d think people would at least talk about him lol

I haven’t heard a lot of people talking about it, but if I remember correctly, in the Long Halloween Sofia and Sal were secret lovers ( or at least implied to be). I like how they’re kind of nodding to that in the show
I believe Oz heard every word Vic said to him in the kitchen which made the follow up scene between the two one of the most powerful scenes in this series.
Great reaction brother. This episode was fantastic. It is crazy how well written, directed, acted, ect. This show truly is. Take away the big names, take away Gotham, this show knows Exactly what it's doing.
I just wish Sofia would travel with bodyguards, especially when she’s confronting people - seems like a major oversight, especially when she knows Alberto had gone out solo when Oz killed him
I think she's trying to keep it very low key and unlike Alberto, she doesn't underestimate people, even her own people and her previous bodyguard was framed as a traitor so she doesn't trust guards.
Show is absolutely amazing. Oz just proved that he is a monster to those who look down under that bridge. He started at the crumbs from their table but it's not enough, he will steal off their plate because he has the ballz. Alone... But these crews haven't done anything about it. Like he said. You know where they are but they know they can fk wit them... The Maroneys/The Falcones/The Gigantes.... All the same to Oz... He's loyal to his people. And I get the where is Batman thing, but does it really matter?? Especially to Oz??!! Let us not forget Oz was extremely comfortable selling drops with Vengeance standing in the same room right in front of his face... He knows that Batman can't stop this... He couldn't stop Falcone... Or even Riddler... He's still an urban legend. Only a couple years in... The ensemble really shined as always, this episode particularly had a bunch of terrific ONE on ONEs... And 2 great speeches by Oz... Final 2 episodes will be amazing... What's difference between Oz and Batman? Bruce Wayne could power crown point with the motor in the Batmobile. Oz went to the politicians and blackmailed them for power for the whole hood. He IS the real hero.
Again that’s not what I’m saying about Batman, I don’t need Oz to worry or even say shit, but he’s not in the news, people on the streets aren’t talking about him, no whispers, rumors, nothing. The Batman opened with establishing how he was a constant fear of everyone on the streets and by the end he was in the public eye. It just seems like he’s just not in Gotham for the last few weeks or months now. I don’t want to see him but like I said, just some background dude whispering about him or a news report talking about a recent sighting or something.
Lewy Body dementia is what Robin Williams had and is speculated to be why he self terminated as it meant he was going to be losing who he was and why people loved him. Casey Kassem had it as well. Unlike Alzheimer’s that is more common in senior citizens Lewy Body dementia effects people in midlife

You are the third commentator to call Sophia a monster. Is that from the conics. Oz burned 2 people alive, intentionally and with enjoyment. Oz is as great a " monster" as Sophia.
I am glad the Batman isn’t in show let be about the penguin and other villains this going end messy I think both mom and Vic is going to die but I think Oz is going end up killing vic
That's not what I said lol I agree, I don't want him in the show. I don't want to see him but I find it odd that he hasn't been mentioned outside of the one news story recapping the end of the movie. He had a reputation on the street at the start of that movie and went public at the end but there hasn't been one little whisper, news report, or sighting mentioned. Just a thug saying something about a rumor he heard or a news report in the background of a scene saying something. Something you'll only catch if you're watching and listening is all because it just feels like he's on vacation lol
