On Saturday, August 23rd, 2024, I visited Ada Ohio to help my sister move back into her collage dorm at Ohio Northern University. I decided to make a brief stop at the old PRR station on the former PRR Mainline. It was quite cool too! Hope you enjoy this brief little video before everything starts to get chaotic.
And what do I mean by that? Well, starting this weekend with my 765 adventure for the World War 2 event, where that will be a lot smaller scale since I’ll be riding behind the locomotive and there’s a good chance I don’t get any runbys that day. However, the following weekend will likely be my biggest adventure yet. After 5 years of anticipation, I will FINALLY be seeing Union Pacific 4014. Not only that, I will be chasing it through the Chicago Metro Area. Yep, it’s gonna be hectic! Also I’m September, I will be returning to Fostoria Ohio for the annual Fostoria Railfest event. October may potentially be my busiest month for Steam ever, as early in the month I will be heading back to the Henry Ford Museum for their Halloween event and will be seeing the ghost train. Then, during the middle of the month, I will be chasing 765 on the fall colors excursion, then a week after that, I have plans to chase Pere Marquette 1225 on the first Cadillac Limited in 5 years. This one is still, however, up in the air as my sister has a show that same weekend. It’ll depend on what days she has performances to determine weather I chase 1225 or not. If I can’t fit it in, my backup plan is to chase 1225 on the North Pole Express twice in 2024 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the North Pole Express and The Polar Express Movie (which is my favorite film of all time fun fact). Coincidentally this also marks my 5 year anniversary of chasing steam locomotives, which makes 2024 even more significant as it shows how far I’ve come over the past 5 years. And at the end of the year, I will likely be heading to North Carolina and hope to catch some trains in the Charlotte Area.
