Miss Phasha, u got it all wrong with Chinese investments n intentions, they are Ruthless savages. Their business dealings are not ethical @ all n want it all back to n for themselves. We have unfortunately change Masters from West to East, while we need none anymore. China has already colonised more than 50% of Motherland Afrika, they are Rascists n Supremacists n PR stunts kingpins of high degree to ALL AFRIKANS disguised as friendship n investments/help, yet they are Hungrier for power anyone b4.😢😢
I always have something to take home after listening to The Penuel Show, this show is the best school of podcasting space in the whole of SA podcasts combined, and the best thing is bro can bring out the best minds to this show, not forgetting his own, therefore that's why I'd always want to be fed by this show
I listened to your interview on theREN and I remember you mentioned this. it was gire I couldn't stop listening and now I finish this one looking forward to see how this ends
I don't think so. She uses impassioned speech but her facts seem biased towards a sort of communistic idiology. There is a refusal to accept how things work, eg, she says "China doesn't owe us anything" - this cannot be justification for China to simply be allowed to do the same thing the West did to Africa.
@@mongezimangena3496 she raises good points but non of them have much depth to it. Simple facts 1. Still has more poverty than SA 2. SA’s average salary is 2x more than India 3. Let’s be honest, we have more people escaping Pakistan and India to live and work in SA. On China 1. Pen was right China exploits its own people comparing SA to China is like comparing Lesotho to South Africa. They had 1.5ish billion people during their industrial boom and they exploited so many of those people to get where they are. Essentially inslaving their own people working 1 USD a day. 2. 600000 people die annually in China from over exhaustion working long hours. In SA we complain about minimum wage. Mentality wise we are not like Chinese and we don’t hold their work ethic.
For me she speaks from a perspective of someone who wants something good to be done but not willing to take the responsibility that comes with what's best for everyone
I thiink the solution is to start somewhere no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. Lets start organising pooling our resources, our knowledge and our time to teach and uplift each other.l@@emmanuelunarine4211
I as a 23 year old male in this country never gets tired of this somewhat repetitive conversations . These should be common convo amongst youth ,atleast there is much room for improvement for us . I wish i could get involved in infroming/educating many more 🙏
Thanks Pen you brought points to the conversation /debate. It was civil too. I learned that you can have conversations about our ideology, passions and beliefs in a civil and respectful manner.
Coming from the DRC and living in southafrica for a while ,m glad that other Africans from the continent are now raising voices to denounce what the people are going trough over there becoz of the west powers and I believe as africains if we start talking abt issues that concerns our continent insteat of fighting one another then we can start looking for ways to fix them.
Great comment@kenny-hu,TO "concentrate on matters concerning our continent, however did you check out the heading,That SA or Africa MUST COPY INDIA OR CHINA😮,Now I'm confused because copy we must but can't do our own damn thing.
The wisdom of this lady is extraordinaire. You tale 1000 youths or more and send them to china or elsewhere where there's higher education in technology, you bring them back to open technological businesses, that's a big start. But this has never happened in South for 30 years even the so-called political genius, nelson Mandela, never thought of it!!!
The second best podcast I have intelligibly fall interest in, this brain of the lady is to be protected, the day our african ladies will rise to battle the true cause of our continent, we'll win the battle truly. INGETA my QUEEN 💪❤️🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩
I am not moved. We have only heard one side of the argument - Phapano's side. Penuel allowed her the space to talk which is good. Pen's comebacks were very carefully placed and I would love to hear a conversation where he gets to articulate them fully and dig for answers because he was coming with something.
I have issues with some of the things she says, but the lady is highly intelligent and knowledgeable. Pen, you held your own, although I have a feeling you were holding back on some topics. Interesting convo.
Agreed. I think Pen was holding back and letting her talk. She took the conversation (and that's a good thing), but there are a lot of problems with her perspective.
I agree with you both. For starters India still has millions in poverty. In fact the average salaries in SA are 2x more than that of India. Using them as a benchmark is not convincing anyone. Secondly, their numbers make India an extremely competitive market. All India families are very hard on their children to excel in their studies. Hence why those with enough drive will leave Indian and succeed in the US or Uk. This is the same for Nigerians. Nigerians are 4th richest national group in the US. 1 are Indians followed by your Persians and believe it or not whites are 5th. Long story short, South Africans fail the moment a child is born. We blame politicians and we blame imperialism but we don’t look at ourselves and realise that we fail our children and do not push them enough to excel. Hence why we can never be like China or any country mentioned. Mentality comes first.
@@Skurafaso he mask fell off faster than I thought. she's a communist and would love to have her hands on the state owned entities. why could nt she clean up corruption in the Anc. What happened to VBS bank? no one is stopping her from starting her own bank and tell her friends to bank there
I love to listen to young African minds that see the big picture. Our liberation as a people has to come from us. The people we call leaders have no desire and motivation to push towards our liberation because they are also taskmasters, a huge part of our problems. Love from 🇳🇬
Great show Penuel! I'm glad you brought up the part about their being educated Xhosas. Although, its not just educated Xhosas. Contrary to the story the mainstream media and whites regurgitate, there are highly skilled and educated Black/Coloured South Africans and they too are highly coveted outside of the South Africa. Sometimes more than the Nigerian and the Indian because of their command of the English language. South Africans must not fall into the trap that they are unskilled and that is why Africans from Nigeria, Zim and other foreigners must be allowed here. ISouth Africans deserve the low, middle, and high skilled jobs first. Not opening the flood gates to workers just because they are African.
Phaphano doesn't understand black natives in SA 1 She is trying to make us accept mass immigration 2 She is blaming SA for Hiroshima like wooow 3 we are not instigators of violence in other African countries
She definitely is ill informed about the immigration problem currently facing SAns, her perspective of it is biased for foreigners. Perhaps her bf is from Nigeria. What does she mean when she says SAns can't b waiters & gardeners, we hv varsity students, illiterate adults who r willing to do those things for a decent pay. Penuel definitely held back. Couple of contradictory statements. Besides the immigration topic and other few things. I definitely learnt somethings from, she is well rounded information wise. Great conversation from Penuel, keep up the good work my brother👌
She decided to be oblivious of the crimes committed by mainly illegal foreigners. Judging by the date d podcast was filmed, I thnk she may also be on someones payroll to try and change d narrative, which is lived experiences of ordinary SAns. Love her though she is very knowledgeable ❤️
True, in corporate they pushed that nonsense of lack of skills just after 1994. A lot of Zim people and other Africans scored high positions then, once they accumulated pensions they migrated to the US, UK etc. It's funny to still hear the same sentiment 30yrs later.
@godpenuel Your content has truly transformed the way I think and approach life. It's rare to find something that resonates so deeply, but your work has done just that. The insights and perspectives you and your team share have opened my mind and enriched my understanding in ways I never imagined. I'm grateful for the time and effort you put into creating such meaningful content, and I look forward to seeing how your work continues to inspire and challenge me. Thank you for making a genuine impact on my life.
The conversation was enriching, with the lady offering some great points and insightful knowledge. However, it is unfortunate that she downplays the frustrations felt by many South Africans. This tendency to minimize or overlook such frustrations is part of the reason many problems in our country and across the African continent remain unsolved. Addressing these frustrations openly and empathetically is crucial for finding effective solutions and fostering real progress.
This young lady is spitting 🔥 and I am hoping that more and more youth have this knowledge and mindset so that they can rise and fight for their own destiny and the destiny of South Africans with this armour of knowledge and mindset. I believe Africa has begun rising 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏽
Thanks Phenyo & to my sister Phapano…👏🏿💚…identity appropriation through naturalisation while return of the land…who is to say that those that assimilate & adopt the culture while the land question continues to convolute with every delay that will cause an potential civil eruption of local South Africans & the diaspora…its contentious it will undermine tolerance in these identity divides…pan Africans need to separate issues & be clear …”lapha edladleni”
1:33:34 definitely not enough. Caught it halfway but this has been your best episode to date🙌🏾 I now have to go watch this from start. Love how you brainstorm with Sis’ Phapano… between the lines is where the solutions will begin to coalesce. I believe it’s conversation like these that will see us come closer as Afrika eventually so we move in tandem, as a singular block with our people’s interests at the forefront. And l will highlight it again… this continent provides 50% of the world’s raw material needs. If we were more conscious of that one fact… all else COULD be guided around that. “The war is over, if we want it” - Yoko Ono
Good job penuel it goes without saying wathinta imbokodo you must watch out. There is so much power & strength in our women it goes beyond measures. We can learn, take action, unite, build as South Africans and Africa women should be given their rightful place as leaders so called current statemen are failing us to drive Africa forward. When honest women & men raise their voices there will be strength there is hope.
Brilliant guest, but she needs to also learn to listen. Every time the host interjects she starts by saying “no” without even hearing what the host is saying. It’s a sign of stubbornness. Great guest, great conversation 🙏🏾 thank you Konvo and The Penuel Show.
Penuel my brother that was very interesting podcast diving into our problems as South Africans and Africa. I like your follow up questions and how sisi Phapano responded. But really we need solutions on next session. What about using the same whites in SA to develop our country but now fight for genuine equality i.e. land distribution, being the producers, having access to markets not red tapes. My reason is that us as blacks we always fight for smallanyana skeleton and loose the bigger picture. Big up Mkhaya ntwana yase location eMadadeni.
15min in...already lovind the conversation. Penual keep doing what you are doing bro. If you feel overwhelmed at times take a break and come back again... You the dude 😎👊🏿
Such a basket of knowledge, my take home is we need as a country invest in manufacturing everything and circulate the flow of money amongst black people.
My LEADER your a voice of voiceless I wish we can have millions of leaders like you in our motherland 5% of the population is controlling us we need to act now
Great convo Pen, very engaging and informative indeed. This is what makes you in my opinion the best podcast for education and freeing minds. However, we need to criticise you when we want the best out of you: i feel you now and then interfere her by getting too excited to comment when unnecessarily so. Just let her flow and educate us, this is otherwise fire 🔥👑 and thanks to you and the team broe !
Mr Pen 🖋 siyabonga Dankie bafo uqhubeke zalo nomsebenzi omuhle Sis Phapano nawe siyabonga for this information usivule ingqondo dadwethu keep up the good work
I agree with alot of what Miss Phala has said, and jst like her even though i do not agree with what President Paul Kagame is doing in terms of distabilizing The Drc in particular and the rebion of breat lakes in general, i salute him for the seeming polotical willlingness he has showcased so far in terms of economical growth im Rwanda, i think this can b emulated by many african countries... and I am from The Drc...
What I take and agree with this lady is that Africa should learn from China and India which were also colonised by the British. I know these countries imported companies from USA and so on for cheap labour, they have learned, and later they prospered. It's better to do something positive than only engage in corruption!!!
Honestly speaking… I hear all these points, these problems that are being raised on these shows: where or what are the solutions? I like the fact that Penuel asked about whether should China and India be used as a model for Africa… unfortunately we tend to disregard “inferiority complex” as a people. I hope on the next episode, Penuel could ask her to point out on the solutions to all the problems that she’s raised. Nonetheless, beautiful episode
