@@TaxmicRug45879you gotta give credit for someone to be so sour and rude that they are willing to go all the way out to Pittsburgh and still going just to arrest someone!
So on the last night of our production, everything was going wrong. We were recording it (of course -_-) and the old mics finally gave out during act one. After that, everyone was forgetting lines, forgetting lyrics, forgetting cues, forgetting dance moves, it was a disaster! Than during this song, at the final verdict, our Yertle broke her gavel. We all held in a gasp then after the show, we all had a good laugh together
The boil it part is really catchy and I had to refrain from singing it during the musical because I was a Who and I didn’t want to die no matter how catchy that part was
Coming from a pit member i'd agree with both cases. I like the jr. version because no "Havin' A Hunch" which was extremely hard to play, but i feel as though the songs that were cut out were really important to the plot line. i.e. "The Military" and "Havin' A Hunch" to name a few (These songs just make the plot a little more dramatic)
We choreographed this a couple of weeks ago, it was cool! I'm a who so all I do is shout "we are here" but it's still great! I actually like the jungle of nool songs better, especially cause our sour kangaroo is so good lol
I’m also mr mayor lol. Backstage today I was getting chased around by a few wicker shams, a hunter, and a bird girl. They uh all had nerf guns…. And was shooting at me. The play practice was on and I for some reason screamed when they actually shot me bc I was running all around the dressing room, and you could hear from the stage and near the audience just a muffled scream leading by silence. Then I used JoJo as a human shield-
years back i looks now, I played a who and vlad vladikof in the Seussical play i was in. I remember I stood by the mayor for this song. I had a lot of fun doing this musical
I’m a cat in Oh the things you can think! We have another cat that also plays in that song, but he gets to play all the cat parts in this song too. I convinced my drama teacher to let us share parts! Hoping to have one of my parts be “Everyone riiiiise!” I love it! Its so beautiful.
My show was yesterday. And I have to say it was the saddest thing ever. Since its my last year in that school. This play being my last in that school.. This play made me so happy.. Honestly. I'm crying while typing this.. I was a BirdGirl, by the way ~
I'm the Sour / Young Kangaroo, but since they are making the Cat in the Hat be Yertle the Turtle, they're making me the Martial. So basically in this song I have to sing from 0:41 to 1:51
In the part of the sheet music for this song where it says "SFX: Loud mad elephant call" my friend added a line to the "F", making it an "E". Just thought you'd all like to know.
I meant what I said And I said what I meant: An elephant's faithful One hundred percent! You can throw me in jail, Lock me up in a zoo... But I won't desert my egg And I will not abandon Who! These Whos, sir, Win or lose, sir, Whether you believe or not, They're here. They live in fear. And I'm the only friend they've got You can do what you want with me, Your Honor, And I won't question why. But Please save Who, The ti-niest planet in the sky.
Boil it! Oh no! No, that you can't do! It's all full of persons! They'll prove it to you! Mr. Mayor, Mr. Mayor! Oh, please, Mr. Mayor! You've got to prove now That you really are there! So ring every doorbell. And send out the word! Make every Who holler! Make every Who heard!
