In his second video report Terry Pickford talks about his most recent visits this week to two active Lancashire peregrine territories located a few miles outside the Forest of Bowland, and a visit to the last active nest inside Bowland. The fourth nest was abandoned this season as a result of reckless disturbance caused by work undertaken by the landowner below the nesting cliff. Speaking on camera Terry compares the benefit peregrines gain by breeding away from red grouse moors, as apposed to those territories positioned on grouse moors, which invariably fail as a result of human persecution.
