Just a tip. Always put COLD filling in pastry cases, pastry is made with either oil or butter and it melts when hot filling is added so you might get a soggy bottom...pies look delicious
Hiya, yep I agree about buying the ready made pastry, saves time and hassle, just wondering if Aldi have the same products as Lidl, much prefer Aldi to be honest, and of course I'd like to enter the prize draw for the casori oven, cheers and keep up those mouth watering dishes of yours. G.Federico. 😋😋👍👍
Those pies looked amazing Kerry. I'm useless at making pastry so I buy ready made. I liked the pie tins, they were just the right fit for your Ninja. A good filling meal
Loved this one, I haven't made pie for a very long time, you inspired me, so last night I did my filling in the slow cooker and made steak, mushroom and potato pie hubby loves it 😊😁
Loving your channel…found it a couple of weeks ago, now a subscriber. I know what I will be making this afternoon! I’m vegan btw, but it’s so easy to substitute for the chicken and the stock cube and these will still be great for vegetarians and vegans. Thank you Kerry 😊.
Ohhh they look so yummy! I got a set of little pie dishes after the last pie video you did. I haven't got round to using them yet. Will give this recipe a go over the weekend. Thanks for the inspiration Kerry x
Well done that turned out great I will give it a go for sure and I totally agree with you regarding the Aldi gravy it thickens up without using too much 🤗
I use my oven for storage as well,my Instant Pot 8ltr duo crisp + air fryer is really all I use now along with my combi oven and gas hob, another great video
I love watching real people. Like when you realised you had forgot the tops, that's me, and it's great to see that's normal instead of thinking I am useless.
Awww me too, I watch a lot of 'normal' people on RU-vid too, much prefer them to the polished instagrammy lifes perfect types (they just make me feel rotten lol) so it means a lot when normal folk like my vlogs too thank you💕💕💕
Thanks for this. It has just reminded me that I have some of those little pie dishes that I have never used. Yes ready rolled pastry makes cooking so easy!
HI My Husband and I subscribed to your lovely channel 2 weeks ago we love your cooking especially when you try it at the end you make us smile you are a real character😂😅 my Husband has to be gluten free so I convert the recipe to that and it works. How long will it be before our names appear on your lists of patreons at the end we would love to feel part of your team we love watching your programmes Many Thanks you are a very clever cook and gardener lots of love Carol and Kenny xx❤❤xx
I hope I haven't made a mistake but, I have just arranged to have my oven removed and an extra cupboard put in it's place. I will let you know how big a mistake I may have made! Love the pies and am still enjoying a variety of cooked eggs thanks to you
Oh my gosh that is brave Cathy, let me know how you get on💪💪💪💪 the seal in my oven has been failing for ages, pointless to spend out fixing it. If I ever do a dooerupper (dreams) I wouldn't bother installing an oven so I'm with you on this one. Still brave thou!! 💕💕💕
The pies look lovey. I recently bought mince and onion pies from one of the shopping channels, I tried them then I made some with small pie tins like yours and they were better . Must try the chicken ones next.
Oh I was Sue thank you💕 am already planning more with a different filling, maybe go veggie? (sorry for delay in replying, am slowly catching up with comments 🥴)
Now you've made me hungry, and I've already had my tea. I bought some ceramic mini casserole/pie dishes from B&M and made a mini cottage pie. I did cheat with tinned mince and onions. Used half a tin and warmed it for 1 min in microwave and boiled a couple of potatoes for mash. Roughed the top of the mash with a fork and dotted butter here and there. Cooked in the Cosori for 6 mins. It was delish. Don't normally buy tinned stuff but wanted to try. Haven't used my oven since Xmas either - it's lovely and clean and shiny inside.
I'm going to b&m in a few days Kathryn, I will look out for those, I do think there is a slight looking down on tinned food in the uk but they can and are perfectly fine and tasty - I will look out for mince and onion tins and try them myself! May make a foodi vlog on it too👌thank you for the inspiration (plus sorry my reply is so late!)💕💕💕💕
@@budgetcookinguk I bought the mince and onion from Morrisons, if you have one nearby. I was surprised how 'home made' it tasted. Good for a quick meal. The mini casserole dishes are black in colour.
Looks delicious! I would imagine that scampi would cook beautifully in the Ninja, I must try it. I bought my pick up thingy from Amazon. It's called a Stainless Steel Hot Bowl Clip.
Hi, Just love to watch you cooking great homemade food for you and your Family. Definitely value for money all around, not easy l know. You do an amazing job with what you have. I would far rather watch you than someone dishing up dinner with a pair of TWEEZERS!!. SO good to have found your Channel 🥰👍👋
Yummy! will be trying these at the weekend. Thanks for sharing your wonderful videos, really enjoy them. I have the same air fryer as you and absolutely love it. 😊
Hi have just orderd them pie dishes from Amazon I allwas line with spray one cal buttery it seems to help the pastry but that's just my opinion give it a go see what you think great video for a budget meal
Oh Kerry, that dinner looked amazing 😋hun, and it didn't take forever to prepare and cook. I had to giggle when you got ever so slightly mixed up at the beginning because I do that all of the time lol xxx
Had Scampi & seasoned Wedgies for tea last night. 20 minutes @ 180 degrees, quick and easy. Also haven't used my cooker since early September, added an induction hob for frying, scrambled eggs etc..... My energy bills are much lower than last year. Glad you like the plate lifter, very handy to have in the draw when needed.
Thank you for the link to it Gary👍, I got a few more bits at the same time, I will try out on the channel and if any good will give them away. I love not using the oven, just need to convince the OH to get an induction hob. It would be great to stop using the gas hob (how did you do the scampi? Am thinking of trying that, not 100% sure the boys will like it)
@@budgetcookinguk I bought Young's frozen breaded scampi, and as I have the Tower Pro model, placed the scampi on the bottom shelf and the wedgies on the middle one, came out delicious, with a dash of lemon juice and some mayonnaise to compliment the dish.
Those meat pies look great.I got those tins & made the same mistake. I filled my pies with apple then had to use a cup to cut out the lids. I used the puff pastry. When I re roll the pastry I use the paper it comes in folded over & roll it from outside so I dont have to flour the surface. A lot less mess.I cooked them on bake at 170 c for 11 mins
Thank you mustang mum💕💕wow that's a great tip and I could of used that method today! (Tomorrows vlog lol) I'm sure I'll get to use your tip thou in the future, no need for flour!
Another amazing result Kerry. Awesome 👏🏼👏🏼❤️💯. I bought those we tong grip thingies from Amazon., they came part of a pack. They’re really cool 👍. I made banana cake the other day, still trying to perfect the recipe 🙏 xx.
Aww nice Shazza, love banana cake it's been ages since I've had some thou! Need to have a go making it as well me thinks😋they should be called tong grip thingies instead of anti scalding clip set, much more fun - my kinda language 😄
Hi kerry will definitely be trying these and I would love to be in your draw for the consori air fryer keep the videos coming and thank you for sharing your videos with us
Just found your site and love the meals you are making, you are down to earth and conscious that we don’t all have loads to spend. Think for me i will add mushrooms and put the sweet corn with the peas. Could you let me know where you got the pie tins. Many thanks

Aww thank you Ian, Jen and the fabulously named cat benjelina💕💕 the cosori was won by the lucky Angela but I will do mini ninja/airfryer accessory giveaways here and there👌 thanks so much for watching👍💕💕
I put my pots and pans in mine👍, the only thing I can see is that people may need to use it at xmas if they're having a lot of people over, imagine trying to squeeze a full sized turkey into an AF?! 😄
Hi Kerry, love the pies, they look so good. You have inspired me to use ready rolled pastry. Keep up the good work. Please enter me into the competition for the cosori. I am in the UK. Xxx
Absolutely love these videos. Can’t wait to try your recipes once I get my hands on a fryer and would love to be entered into the Cosori draw. (Am UK based).
Another great video the pies look scrumptious. I would like to have my name added to the list if I may please Kerry. Thank you for your generosity in giving someone the chance to win the Cosori
Hi Kerry yet again another great pie. I agree the stock pots are brill. I'm the same as you my ovens only been used occasionally since I got my air fryer. Please can I be entered into the corsori draw. Keep up the great work xx
