It looks a great charging solution for all your Mini drones, especially the newer ones that don’t come with charging bricks. Thanks again Rick for creating a solution to a problem many drone users have.

Thanks for the post and it wasn't me down there in Keyport. I am flying there quite a bit but have been recovering from a knee replacement since the holidays and stuck at home for a few more weeks. I hope you had a great day of flying and maybe we'll run into each other on the shore really soon.

Hi Ric. You still need an adaptor for the different types of plugs around the world - the only charger you'll ever need if you only use a US outlet. Apart from that, really awesome product, and I love the tiny form factor
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
Thanks for the post but the charger is both 120/240V switching as well as 50/60Hz so it's really a worldwide charger. You'll still need a plug adapter for locations outside of the U.S. to plug it in but won;t have to worry about a voltage converter.

Hello Rick, Will your charger work on 230V 50Hz, UK/Ireland and most of Europe with travel adaptor
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
Yep, I should have mentioned that in the clip but it's both automatic voltage (120/240 VAC) and frequency (50/60 Hz) switching so you'll be fine.

Have you compared how much faster this charger is compared to the one that DJI gives you in the mini 2 fly more kit?
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
Kurt, if you own the charger that came with the Mini 2 Flymore kit, there's no need to upgrade since they both do a great job of charging the batteries. Even still, our charger is larger (18W/33W) and is a USB-C port compared to the older USB-A on the DJI charger. We also provide a wider range of adjustment and power. The DJI provides - 5v@3A, 9V@2A and 12V@1.5A. The Drone Valley Charger provides 5V@3A, 9V@3A, 12V@2.5A, 15V@2A and 20V@1.5A. This allows our to provide a more finite adjustment throughout the charging cycle for better (and quicker) charging. Ours is also a GaN charger that is more effective, unlike the DJI which is the older silicon and wastes more energy in the conversion of AC to DC. I hope that helps explain it. Rick

Awesome charger, Rick! Do you have any plans to create a version with foldable prongs?
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
Ken, Thanks for the post and we actually looked into doing that but the challenge is that the new GaN chargers are so densely packed that there wasn't a lot of room to fold in the prongs. We were able to do it with our larger 65W charger but not on the current version of the 33W version. We're always looking to improve these products so possible on the next version.

Does this new charger support QC3 that the older DJI Mini drones used?
@Dronevalley

Dan, this charger can fast-charge the original Mini drone as well as the charging hub and controller as long as you're using the MicroUSB adapter in the charging kit.
@danman32

@@videoeditguy Bruce, I’m sorry I forgot to mention the warranty. Since we designed and manufactured this charger, we stand behind it and will replace it if you have any issues. @@Dronevalley Rick, two thanks. First, for taking time to respond. Second, for reassuring me that you stand behind your product/s.

Nice charger but why C to C? Would make a lot more sense and convenience to simply use a USB port on the charger.
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
Mitchell, thanks for the post but the USB-C port is the newest type of connection and the older USB-A port is being phased out over time. We wanted to make this as modern as possible and even include an adapter for the older USB-A charging cables you may still have in the charging kit so you can use it with both cables. I hope that helps, Rick

@Dronevalley

Thanks for the post but I can assure you that this charger was designed by us and unique. Just because it may look like another charger doesn't mean it's the same internally. That site you mentioned is notorious for selling "clone" products from China that look good but rarely work. As for pricing, the DJI charger for the Mini is only 18W and costs $19 for the charger alone and a similar 30W charger from Anker is $34, so the pricing on the Drone Valley one is very good. Lastly, we're based in the U.S. and stand behind our gear, if you ever have issues. Good luck getting support from a Chinese website if your knockoff charger dies. You're free to buy and use whatever you like, but why take a chance with a cheap charger when it has the potential to ruin your expensive batteries?

You not only talk too much and repeat yourself too much in a given video, you are now repeating videos you have already previously released, and there is nothing special about these chargers compared to many others on the market….

@Dronevalley Год назад
Since we're being critical, your comment was a run-on sentence with too many commas. Thanks for the post but I do my best to explain the products I'm discussing and want to make sure you get the information you need to understand the benefits. This is a totally new topic (and charger) that we designed to use with the DJI Mini drones. There are a lot of benefits to the product when compared to others including the expanded PD range it can accommodate, GaN technology vs standard silicon chargers and the adapter kit we've created that allows you to use a single charger with any portable product that needs charging. If one of our clips doesn't appeal to you, simply move on to the next one. No need to get snarky, it's a free country.
@roguedroneroboticscanada250
Since we are putting all our cards in the table, I will tell all my followers to order the exact same chargers (minus your silk screened logo on the side) off Alibaba at a fraction of the cost…
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
@@roguedroneroboticscanada250 I hesitate to respond to goofy comments like this but if all of the details I replied with on the last comment didn't help to convince you that you can't buy this charger on any site but Drone Valley or our store on Amazon, I give up. The only caution I can offer is that sending your fans to a Chinese website to buy a no-name charger from an anonymous seller with suspect specifications make sense as good advice, have at it. When you order from us you'll know that the charger we sent was one that we designed, is safe for your drone, comes with an unlimited warranty and is sold by a reputable seller that will be here to help with any questions you might have. For most folks, that's worth a lot more than saving a few dollars.
@roguedroneroboticscanada250
We are fully aware of where you get “your” chargers from…
@Dronevalley
@Dronevalley Год назад
@@roguedroneroboticscanada250 Dude, please do all of us a favor and spend more time flying and less time posting snarky comments on a channel you're not even subscribed too. I also find it amusing that you use the term "we" as if you're a spokesman for the masses. I get it, you're a technology genius that can somehow evaluate a product you've never bought, tested or compared to anything on the market and start casting doubt. I'll say it one more time so it's clear. We designed the charger to our specifications, had it manufactured to those specifications, packaged, shipped to the U.S. and are stocking it here for customers to buy. We sell it at a competitive price compared to other companies (including DJI) and stand behind the product if issues arise. We're just a small company developing products that help the hobby that we use ourselves. Simple as that. I'm fine with you jumping on the channel if you have a question about a product or topic I'm covering, but this back and forth nonsense is just wasting bandwidth. I know you're just getting started on RU-vid but you'd grow your channel faster by posting some helpful tips on flying instead of banging on other channels.
