In the world of e-bikes, they can be big and heavy but this might just be the BEST Budget commuter e-bike under $300 | The Windone S14
Has a 350 watt rear hub motor that peaks to 500 watts and will go 20 mph and I even fit on it being 6'6" tall and got me up to 18/19 mph and my wife got up to 21 mph. Dual disk brakes, headlight and rear tail lights and brake light, electronic horn and super small/lightweight and compact !

Brake levers are Front Right and Rear Left in the UK. Looks cool. How far would you get if you used it with pedal assist? 'Legally' that's all we're allowed in the UK, the assist cuts out after 15mph...

Now that I did not know ! Thanks for bringing some clarity about the brakes being that was in the UK. Yes pedal assist cuts out at around 14-15 mph on this one.

What a lovely video, Andre. I see that your wife is a real competitor, like Helena! Great fun. Funny coincidence because I was in Miami yesterday looking at a couple of electric bikes. There’s more voice over here and some of them are really substantial. I had a little run around and loved them. (They allowed me out onto the mall!!) I quite fancy getting one when I get home, because we only have one bus every two hours and I can’t get out easily. One of these would really suit me I think. 14:15 I’m guessing they charge ok overnight. Come pension day, I’ll race it to town ……….. Never mind hell’s angels ……… ‘hell’s grandad.’

Hey Ian ! This little e-bike is a blast and my wife really loved it and was surprised at how comfortable it was. It only takes 3-4 hours to charge up so not bad at all as my ONEBOT takes a solid 7-8 hours to charge up. Super light as well. Enjoy Miami and welcome to the U.S. heat lol

Currently down in Tavernier. Beautiful place. Hot as furnace. Us Brits can’t take heat. I actually sat with 6 manatees two days ago in Islamorado. Been looking every time I’ve come here for them and like English buses, you wait for hours, and then 6 turn up! Also hand fed tarpon at Robbie’s. Arm and all….. massive things. Canoe of Everglades today. Like being in a jungle here ….. osprey nesting outside my apartment and these amazing little cardinals. You’d need an electric bike here. I couldn’t peddle for longer than 10 seconds!!

There are no menu options on the controller screen, just an on/off button but mine reads in MPH

Now that's a perfect looking bike for me, not big and bulky, but I'm a bit worried about the speed, does it automatically go 21mph or can you adjust the speed? Too old to fall down and break a hip ha ha

@@kenroberts4972 Totally understand, you can adjust the speed with the twist throttle on the handlebars , so you can control how slow or fast you want to go.

Kudos to the Mrs, she did great. Curious...is there anything that would prevent somebody from moving the brake levers from side to side to a conventional set up. My fear would be if someone rode it that was unfamiliar...well you know. Kinda of thinking about getting one at that price.

@@JimmyJinIA Some Ebikes are designed this was and is intentionally for many reasons and sure it can be dangerous to break abruptly with front breaks only but that's only if 1. you're going downhill 2. you are riding carelessly and are very little experienced on any bike. basically, it got the motorcycle brake setup and it was just muscle memory at that point.

@urielgonzalez4122 Hmmm, interesting. Yeah, I hadn't considered them from a motorcycle perspective. I figure more people would move from bicycles to e-bikes than from motorcycles (down?) to an e-bike. Thanks.

i got one, but the battery won't charge. instruction manual is vague (and in general poorly put together). any ideas what to do, like key in/out, switch position?

I use key in with it switched to "on". Then tap the button on the top (handle part) of the battery and check the battery level with the LED. If it's still not charging, contact Windone support or return for an exchange as you might have gotten a bad battery or charger. Speaking of charger, you can always test that it's working with a voltmeter (if you have one)

I would like to know the width, length and height as folded, even more, it would really help to see it folded in top. side and front view (with tape measure scale in view) so I can see where the "bulges" are. I have a tight packing space in a camper. I suspect there are others with similar questions. PS I enjoyed your vid :-) .
