Lots of fun to be had in Nantucket 🎉. I was born and raised in Scituate Harbor👍🐦🌞. We used to catch Flouna Fish all day in the Summer ,till they dredged our bed for bigger boats to get thru😢. I'm glad the Girls are experiencing a different part of the same Ocean. JO JO IN VT 💞

Of man butterfly those flounder open on the top side. Stuff with some cornbread stuffing mixed with crabmeat ..smear with olive oil and throw em on the grill and it is on.

Hey Rob down here on the easternshore we call them flounder. Fluke are the big boys they get up that way. Back in the 80s early 90s we got those big fluke but the draggers get most of them offshore before we can catch them in any numbers.

You got yourself some fluke. In the northeast, we call em fluke, but as you start heading south, they call them summer flounder. And as always, Rob always creates a culinary masterpiece. I hope he’s with us for a long time to come.

Bro...watching you catch the crabs reminded me of the way we used to do it in Trinidad years ago! We would tie a chicken foot or nect to a string and scoop them up the same way with a net! Thanks so much for bringing back those memories....God bless...

Up here in Massachusetts we have the summer flounder, which we call fluke. And we have winter flounder, which just get called flounder.. the fluke can get over 20lbs but anything over 10lbs is considered a trophy.. we let those big ones go to keep breeding, 5-7lbs fluke are the best size for eating.. and yes fluke belly strips make great bait for them, another method is jigging for them using 1-4oz jig heads with Berkley 6" gulp

Good therapy for anyone. Wish I could've had that after open heart surgery! But that was 12 years ago. I'm good now. The year after the surgery, I put the ticker to the test. Hauled out 2 deer by myself in one evening. No 4 wheeler, just elbow grease. Had to prove it to myself.

Had to rewatch because of course someone started talking to me and distracted me lol. i caught bits and pieces and was like man that flounder dish looks amazing. In my personal opinion especially growing up on long island ny, we always called the bigger mouth toothier ones Fluke and the smaller mouth ones flounder. The mouth is the most distinctive difference between the two, plus Fluke generally get way bigger than flounder.

In the northeast, we have multiple flounder species. There are summer flounder, also known as fluke and there are also winter flounder.
