Great video man. Really captured the essence of GU. I highly recommend anyone who've played Rise to give GU a shot. It's a great way to enjoy MH as a brand, and GU is in a sweet spot where it's so full of content that there is something for every hunter out there. Another reason to play the game is simply because the level of support that is available online. There are still active dedicated discord groups to facilitate multiplayer and the amount of guides and tips available on youtube and reddit is massive. Truly one of the more premiere experience on the switch.
@FunkyMonkeyAssassin2 indeed I also feel GU is just right on gameplay. Yes it would be nice for some of the new gen movement options, but Arts and Styles are perfect for me. Maybe some balancing is needed. Thanks for the great comment.
@@NovaBushido some fans hate underwater combat because idk maybe they have thalasophobia or they are just suck lol, and some other fans hate hunter arts because the game became too easy they said 😂 I hope Capcom bring back underwater combat with some improvement in the future because imo some piscine and leviathan monsters are more fun and challenging fought underwater.
Been playing on and off but almost on high rank. Just a few more hunts and want to farm a certain monster for more materials for a couple weapons. Looking forward to the next rank and all the monsters that come with it.
Been playing MH since 2005. Been replaying World/Iceborne with a friend who never played Iceborne or had it on PC. It's been fun, but I always find myself going back to either GU or Freedom Unite, just to give myself that quick serotonin boost from nostalgia, and to just take a break from the long endgame grinds of Iceborne and Rise. 10/10 would recommend MHGU to anyone who feels stagnant from the grind of Iceborne and Sunbreak.
Imma be honest lol, bought double xx since it was on discount not knowing everything was in japanese, so i messed up and ended up just buying gu afterwards. Still havent finished rise but got bored to gu was a fresh start. Abit hard to get used to this
A lot of people seem to like the video, thanks all!! So I think I'll do a follow up next coming out next week on Multiple Phase Monsters, and why they're so good, if you're interested Drop a Sub! Also I do other content apart from from MH, Yugioh, Guild wars etc. If you're not interested, just ignore the content :)
People r coping so hard whenever I say that this game is the founding father of soulsborne games. Souls games capitalizes on the very same thing that mh started. Every single fight is a boss fight and you’re required to prepare your 150% every single time you engage to the battle. Only difference is that soulsborne games capitalizes on the element of surprise, while MH is known to be like a train on tracks. You know it’s coming the problem is that how you stop the unstoppable monster that is. And the clunky control makes MHGU forces you to be more calculated with the tedious 3 - 4 movesets. At worst 5 - 6, plus the small monsters with the job to annoy and interfere with the boss fight itself.
MH and Souls are very difficult still. Yes they share the fact you have to turn your opponents moveset and react/exploit appropriately, but that can be said of many games. The whole approach to MH is different than souls, in my opinion.
For Anyone saying they have no one to play GU with, watch this video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AoUQxdfVn-c.html I'm going to do some live streams to help you out in the game!!!
Why do people say the game is easy? Soloa g4 hyper and tell me it's easy or a EX deviant, seriously solo gunner is two hits away from death And also the worst of them all, hyper silver and gold los solo
Its a good game, but the multiplayer is so hard to use and dead, and for any but the best hunters soloing group quests just isnt feasible. I got to mid high rank and couldnt find players since they are all in the very highest end and soloing group content is just too far out of my skill level.
@glowdonk that would be awesome for people to experience them. Sadly, I don't think it'll happen. If I ever hear anything, I'll sure to make a video on it!
@@NovaBushido I heard someone say something so fucking bullshit along the lines of "Monster Hunter doesn't need ports of their older games, the newer games are right there"
@@NovaBushido yeah because the biggest roadblock to playing is group content only for high and master rank could be modded to be more friendly when players counts are low.
What if I already finished GU and have played world/iceborne/rise/sunbreak/3U. And want more monster hunter but cant play 4U because 3Ds are getting expensive💀 I just want more monster hunter(I am not playing freedom unite or frontiers)
I think the ryujinx version is much better than 3ds. There used to be discord channels that help you find other hunters but I think nintengay nuked them
This game is why I hate world fans. Game peaked more and more and more. Then gave us hours of unskippable “handler” content, scout flies, investigations, less functional maps, and “better-not better” graphics. And then after gave us a knock off of GU (rise) which is arguably more fun than worldborne
@@dwbryant13 don't push your dislike for World on its Fans. You're right it's a shame they took away what G did so well going from it to World, which was a BIG disappointment for me. But the Fans just like what they like. Now I'd you disliked some Fans because they keep coming after something you enjoy then I can understand that.
