Formula:
This is a u-part wig that was sent to me by a client for custom color. This hair started as a very yellow level 9 (#613 in weave lol)
This is a very advanced technique, so practice makes perfect ;-)
* A very important rule when trying to achieve grey: Hair needs to be as light blonde as possible with No yellow tones left over or your grey will not come out right.
Step 1: I used bleach and 30vol to get it to a beige lvl 10
Step 2: I toned by submerging it in a tub water with 3 squeezes of Celebluxury Viral Silver Shampoo to get it to true white
Step 3: In order to achieve really dark roots and low lights on this
platinum wig, I knew a "fill" step would be necessary. I used a 5
Ash for the roots and and added 5 Ash lowlights throughout for
dimension, processed for 30 minutes, washed, and dried.
Step 4: I used Pravana Color Lush 5S + 1 Ash on the roots (at the 6:10 mark) and 9S on the ends (at the 7:50 mark) , color melting the roots to ends as I apply. I also added very thin slices of the root formula throughout as low lights.
This was around a 5 hr color job, so patience is key whenyou want precision.
