Guys! I just found a mistake in the first recipe! 3:23 1 Cup of Water --> 2 Cups of Water Get the full recipe here! aaronandclaire.com/the-best-kimchi-pancake-with-korean-pancake-mix/ I'm so sorry for that!🙏
2:40 Did something similar with my grandmother's cutting board years ago. Although it was slightly stained, I was forgiven and all charges were dropped 😊My restitution was to learn the right way to cook good food from the grandma herself!
if you use hot water right away, especially on a synthetic cutting board its usually not a problem, but if its wood or you leave it for a while yeah rest in peace
I really appreciate how Aaron always gives us the easily available substitutes so that everyone can enjoy authentic food... Much love and light to both of you 🤍💜
I literally have been trying to perfect kimchi pancake and JUST finished making one when this video popped up - how did you know? :') So I'm eating my kimchi pancake while watching this
@@shanetaylor761 More oil. I was being stingy with the oil before. I don't think Aaron used enough, I coat the entire bottom of the pan and get it hot. Because you are frying the pancake. Mine come out really crispy (the whole thing, not just the edges) because of the extra oil.
Everything is better with Kimchi! I currently have a wonderfully sour batch of Kimchi in my fridge, and all the other ingredients for this pancake so I know what I'll be having for breakfast tomorrow morning. Thank you Aaron and Claire!!
@@AaronandClaire It was delicious!! With the ingredients on hand, this was an easy, quick, pancake-bundle-of-kimchi joy!! I prefer savory pancakes, and this was really good!! Thanks!
Alternate reality horror: what if Aaron and Claire never started a RU-vid channel? Seriously, I think about things like this and it freaks me out. You'd be out there in the world as strangers, and not a soul in the world would even know that you have the capacity to provide value beyond description to the inhabitants of planet Earth. Truly. THANK YOU for gettin' it together and throwing all your time and energy to this channel. I love it. You guys have rocked my world more times than I can say. Permanent changes in how I eat, shop, think, spend my time etc. That's astonishing when you think about it. Thank you for coming online like this. You are truly gifted. Much appreciation from England 💌.😄💖🙏
I just bought korean pancake mix and this recipe is perfect! I love korean food so much! And I always go to this channel whenever I need some good easy korean recipe! Thank you so much Aaron and Claire! 💕💕💕
You guys are the sweetest, kindest and most entertaining of all my RU-vid subscriptions. I'm still working on recreating all of your delicious recipes, but I look forward every week to see both of you! I'm watching you creep up on one million subs! You so deserve it! By the way, my Rabokki was off the hook! The Tteokbokki came with two packets, so there will be more. Thank you, Aaron and Claire!!!!
omg it tasted heavenly. i am having leftover spaghetti and kimchi pancakes. thanks for such an easy and awesome recipe. o btw, i made my own Korean pancake mix, using what i felt you would use. and it was spot on. rice flour and corn starch and seasoning.
Dear Aaron and Claire, I wanted to thank you dearly for your amazing content. Thanks to your recipes, I was able to cook so many delicious Korean dishes and share them with my friends and family. This one was also sooo amazing!! Please stay happy and healthy! 😁❤️
안녕하세요 from the great state of Texas USA……We made this tonight and it was SO GOOD!!!!! I added crispy bacon to it for the meat source and it was really good. Kids approved! 감사합니다 for these recipes! We have made So many of them! Keep them coming! AND you guys are hilarious and sweet!
Watching the latest episode has become a part of my Saturday night dinner routine, I always look forward to it. It gives me new ideas to try for the following week, and now I need to go find some kimchi because I still have a healthy amount of Korean pancake mix from the canned tuna episode from way back when.
Thank you for adding the recipe with regular flour. I have celiac disease and can make this with GF all purpose flour. I'm excited to try this! I will also make sure to watch how many dishes I use. I don't have a dishwasher named Claire. I have a dishwasher named "me". All the more reason to use less dishes.
@@AaronandClaire I made them this afternoon. I substituted some of the flour for some protein powder and used shrimp instead of pork. I, of course, used the gluten free flour. It's delicious! Thank you so much for this easy recipe.
OMG! Thank you for making this video!! My kimchi pancakes are so SOGGY and i tried so many times!! And coincidentally, i have some sour kimchi at home 😉
I got some great Kimshi at Costco the other day. Tasty, not too salty, and very good. I add peppers to boost up the heat. Now I know what to do with it other than eat it as a snack
Aaron and Clair I want to say thank you for making these videos and making the recipes easy to follow and present to family/guests. I am from Princeton, WV USA in the appalachian mountains, the place many people say "Hillbilly's" are from. I am proud to say this "Hillbilly" really enjoys the different Asain cuisines you present and my family and friends love it when I make them as well. Thank you for always putting the substitute ingredients for the dishes for those of us who cannot get all of them. YEEEEHHAWWW this food is good!!! :)
Months ago, I found a recipe online for Korean Pancake mix. The ingredients were: Flour (AP or cake) Starch (Rice, corn or potato) Baking Powder (if you want it to be a little fluffier, but not necessary) Garlic Powder Onion Powder Salt Pepper Unfortunately, I cannot find the recipe and/or the ratios again. I do remember that the flour was in Cups, and everything else was in Teaspoons. MSG or Beef/Chicken powder could be substituted for the Garlic and Onion powders. Just put it in a bowl and whisk it together. I just made a big batch, stored it in an air-tight container, and used it a few times for tuna and shrimp pancakes. If you don't have a Korean market near you, you could mix your own.
Need to have some kind of pool going for how long in the next video Green Onion makes an appearance into it. Just in case, I am guessing 1min 34 seconds.
Aaron, hello from Brazil! I love how you prepare the recipes. I am vegetarian, but I think it is not difficult to make few changes and prepare your suggestions. In the second recipe, I think I could use some mushrooms! With vegetarian kimchi, of course! I also love to watch Clare describing the food, she is really cute!
Yes! Or the pork is totally optional, so you can just leave it out. And instead of dashida or chicken stock, season the flour with salt and pepper.(If you can add garlic or onion powder, it would be even better! 😁)
You guys are my favorite channel! Amazing food and tons of laughter!Thank you for putting a smile on my face! And omg those pancake flipping skills are amazing!
I was so sure it‘s basically eggs and kimchi. But there‘s no eggs at all. 😮 even easier. I live in Germany, so even getting Kimchi is not so easy. But I was able to snatch a small can of kimchi and hope I can make a tiny pancake of it. ❤ thank you for the recipe!
So I always used to buy kimchi pancake from asia store frozen and I never thought this would be as delicious but oh my god as always Aarons recipes never dissapoint me🙏🏼❤️
oh forgot to mention, i made lemon size and double fried them and boy were they crunchy and you know what you should research growing your own green onions. it's quite easy and you can replant the roots.
Lol Aaron your too funny! I can’t help to crack up when you bleep out the bad word. It is definitely the truth about Mom’s cutting board. Hahah I don’t even dare to cut kimchi on a cutting board. It’s all about the bowl and scissors. Hahah
"if i use only those two ingredients, this channel might lose it's identity" - 😂 - It's true, I nearly YT searched 'Slipknot' as soon as i saw this only had two ingredients, but thankfully you saved me, and am here to stay :)
So funny…and great recipe! Thanks for thinking of those of us who don’t have a Korean grocery store nearby. Lovely video, thank you Aaron and Claire! And Happy New Year!🎊
Kimchi pancakes are my favorite! Aaron, can you do a video showing us a few simple recipes for lunchbox for young children under 10 years old to take to school. Also what recipes would be good for large party? Thank you!
