Hey Will, love your videos, I've learned so much! . I'd love a rundown of this product without the MioXm. It feels a little tough to parse to use cause /set upfor one product when there's this other product that I don't quite understand the use for. I'm using an X32 as my digital mixer/audio interface and it also has midi in/out ports. Will the OakBoard Floor Vista work just running into the MIDI IN ports of the X32 via 5pin MIDI cable?

Is the Oakboard Floor Vista compatible with the Strange Electronics Setlist plugin? I assume the basic MIDI functionality of the buttons is, but will the display still show the names of the locators? Thanks!

Quick question! I’m running a redundant playback system using the playaudio12, Setlist and the auto stop method. If I’m using the oak board floor vista from stage, could I technically just use an extra long usb type a/b to connect it to the playaudio sidestage? Are there any pros/cons to doing it like that as opposed to this way you’re showing in the video? Thanks for doing these videos, you’ve helped me a ton!

curious about this as well/if you can use an ethernet adaptor from a macbook pro that doesn't have an ethernet port avail...

What if you aren't using an ethernet cable, just direct USB to computer. Everything works for me but don't get the set list appearing on the Floor Vista. Says "set track in to floor vista" and "waiting for link". Any help on this would be great!

_Four Hundred Dollars_ for a four-button MIDI controller !?!?!?!? And then they want $60 more for the plugin needed to use it? The Morningstar MC-6 is just a bit more than _half_ that price, and does much more, without needing the full suite of Ableton Live (fully programmable for ANY MIDI device, like most good MIDI controllers). I understand this is a specialized thing, made to be as plug-and-play as possible, but that price is just outrageous. And charging for the software to make it work to it's full potential on top of that is just a slap in the face.

If you're looking for a MIDI Controller to use to control guitar pedals, or tons of banks and options-this isn’t it. If you're looking for a MIDI controller that will allow you to control Ableton Live from your feet, get a visual feedback of your set, navigate your set while it’s playing to jump around your song, and it includes the plug-in needed to do all that without having spend $60, this is the solution. The fact I can re-program the pedal without any control software, and I get a visual indication of the template and transport state with the play button is an added bonus. A few points to clarify for anyone reading this comment in the future: -This MIDI Controller works with any software, and any version of Ableton. -If you’re going to use TAZ (for the visual set feedback) you’ll need Suite or at least Max 4 Live -You get TAZ Lite included for free with the purchase, so you don’t need to spend $60 for the additional plug-in This pedal isn’t for everyone, but it’s for folks that need solid control of tracks, visual feedback of the setlist without needing to look at Live and the ability to navigate their set-while it’s playing without touching their computer. I agree, I’d would be great if this was $199 or even cheaper, but with everything Jeff has added to this MIDI controller and the quality of it, It’s a huge bargain at only $399.

@@fromstudiotostageHey Will, new subscriber here. Is this the only controller to your knowledge that is capable of displaying markers, setlist info, etc? I've triggered from a looptimus controller in the past, but hosting the tracks from my pedalboard whether via iPad, or long USB runs with my computer display mirrored on iPad from my macbook has been such a headache. This seems like the right direction although the price does feel a little high. Love the concept but would love to see something with a larger display and a couple more buttons. Are there any other options you are aware of or is this function pretty particular to this interface?

Thanks for this Can the oak board connect to the mioXM via DIN cable, using a Kenton USB host or similar?

If you can convert it to DIN it would work, you'll just need to make sure your MIDI routing is correct in Auracle.
