@@jk3266 it’s very straightforward- she’s out of her depth. She’s a Karen who immediately blocks followers after fat shaming them on DM despite explaining to her multiple times about injuries I have and musculoskeletal nerve impingement since having an MRI done and seeing a specialist. I showed my specialist her nonsensical waffle in response to specific musculoskeletal questions that she evaded only to keep rabbiting on banaly about my macros- the neurologist rolled his eyes at what she wrote. She did the same to another follower who said to be careful about a certain exercise as a heads up for older followers. She has a fragile ageist massive yet wafer thin ego. She is not a nice person away from the make believe public persona she has crafted. And don’t even bother try to tone police me and silence me and other older women whose lived experiences with her will ALWAYS trump irrelevant generalisations and sycophants defending her for brownie points who have no lived experiences nor receipts kept on this. We’ll see how fat shaming, ableist and ageist she still is and blocks people for inane childish passive aggressive reasons of butthurt, when she’s in her mid to late 40s like some of us. Hopefully she will have better self awareness, interpersonal skills and basic decency as a person by then, but I doubt it. Others making a living from fitness channels on RU-vid have significantly better people skills than her and can very easily take harmless constructive feedback. The only feedback Redefining Karen can take is naive people carte blanche falling over themselves to praise and worship her with reckless abandon and that’s not someone I’d ever want to support.
@@rachkate76 Is it possible she gave vague answers because it would be unethical to give feedback on an MRI from a patient whom who've never met or assessed in person? Most professionals would require a signature of consent to treat and an assessment before saying anything specific.
@@kit55kat55 she wasn’t asked to do that. She also wasn’t asked to repeatedly fat shame. She should’ve admitted she was WAY out of her depth. She also shouldn’t have immediately blocked older women who non offensively stated they’d have to be careful with a particular exercise she put out. Not sure how you’re missing all of that but her attitude as I already said, it rubbish. She’s a child with an ego that harms her brand…. self inflicted stupidity.
Thanks for this fab video. I'm 65 yrs old. I was recently on a cruise where the average age, I'd say, was around 75 yrs old. I was horrified to note that about 98% of the people on the cruise walked with very stooped shoulders and backs. I don't want to be like that in my later years. I came home determined to find exercises to strengthen and straighten my upper back and shoulders. This video is perfect.
I would love the follow along video as well. As a former dancer and fitness consultant I applaud your clear and practical exercises! Excellent videos!!
So glad I came across your channel. Im getting back into fitness after falling off the wagon over the last few years. Im also over 50 so it’s been a bit of a struggle coupled with old and new injuries cropping up. Such a helpful video! Thx! Btw, the opening doesn’t feel like an ‘over-dramatization’ it looks like my overage morning lol.
OMGosh! This is exactly what I needed to see!! It’s my 66th birthday today. I’ve been so depressed due pain sidelining me. Your video has given me hope that I can turn around the downward spiral of weakness and gaining weight. Thank you.
Do not get immobile because of pain! I did, and was “clever girl” and passive in order to take less pain medication - a big mistake, immobility can permanently damage you, get proper help for your pain, find the best ways for you to activate, and keep active! I learned this too late, and now, ten years later, I finally very very slowly can be active minutes a day, and determined to get my life back!
Thanks again!! Your vids are a permanent staple in my fitness goals. I’m a 58 year old male and your dramatization of getting up in the morning is hilarious and right on. You are the best.
This is a great video!! The older I get the more aches and injuries I’m getting. I never thought or realized how much not working on mobility, would impact me. Thanks!
Oh darn. I was hoping for a follow-along session. It’s hard to put it all together. All that information, while good and interesting, was overwhelming.
Great video content. As a swimmer I have significantly increased my land training while in lockdown and will incorporate these movements. Any chance you could put together the full sequence as a real time routine?
I laughed out loud... "have to warm up just to get out of bed"... He-he. Brilliant presentation every time. I never comment but love this girl! The female version of Athlean-X. You should team up for a few videos... would be a hit for sure. ♡♡♡ 😘 xx..
I learnt so much from your video! Your video is amazing. The moves some I never knew or heard before. This video is amazing Thank you so much for sharing! Have a wonderful day. Cute dogs.
You've mentioned so many areas where i have problems.. I've been going to a chiropractor and physical therapy for my upper & lower back and neck pain. Seems it comes after I try working out.. My back is so tight, hoping these will help loosen things up so I can get back in the gym. Thanks for the thorough explanations.
What great tutorials you create! Such great and easy to understand information with clear visuals too!well done! One thing that would have been good to add at the end would be a guided “class” of doing each exercise for the 30 sec one after the other for people to use as a guide. But really grateful for this! Thank you!
Your videos are great instruction. Since there are many movements included, it'd be very helpful to have one, complete run-thru, to help us learn, and routinely employ, the sequence. For now, I'll remember a couple new moves and go to a different site to follow a series.
Please fix my hips. My rheumatic condition and cam impingement/scoliosis crap has reared its ugly head in the past day. Getting therapy tonight - hope it wanes so I can get back to what I was doing. Really really annoying. I hate being down. Nice post Cori! :)
I am in my 60s - have had asthma since I was 17 to varying degrees .......... some exercises are too difficult for me breathing wise - but loving your stretches etc as since coming off steroids, ( yeah ! ) I have lost a lot of weight and muscle tone ( :( ) and need to help myself stay as active as i can and to become stronger ........... i notice my knees are not as flexible as they were etc so loving some of these exercises to stretch my legs ..... Thank you for all the information too .
Thanks for sharing your wisdom. Your Movility Routine is very very good to keep healthy joints. Thanks for the precise explanation of the muscles, exercises, movements, range of motion, and where to place the ball.
I want my body to look like yours! So strong.. absolutely love it. Ive never watched a work out video before, that has got me off my couch, to change into my gym clothes to follow..but guess what, I did this evening and had a grapefruit for dinner 😋 Thank you for sharing, God bless you.😉🙏🏿❤
I watched this video of yours just in time when I experienced tennis elbow. Have been doing these mobility exercises and so far has helped lessen the pain in the elbow area. Had to rest playing tennis for a week and hoping to be back this week. Thanks so much for your very insightful and helpful videos.
Really a great tutorial, but I especially like the side box with all the timings! Great new, practical format! I've not seen this anywhere else. Way to go!
Thank you for great video. This video being spot on is an accurate description. Loads of correct info. It explains the unknown & surprising connections between the various muscle, tendon & fascial tissues that if left out of balance & not strengthened will lead to unexpected & often mysterious body dysfunction. The body is extremely intricate & infinitely connected both in one’s mind, body & soul/consciousness. Eastern, Alternative & Integrative medicine has long been aware of these connections. As we age, we become less flexible, more sedentary & we physically involute under the weight of gravity. Your video explains very well (sort of fast though, thus the calls for a follow along video) some of the main reasons for our maladies over time & it give great fixes for correction & strengthening. For ankle mobility there is a blue heavy duty plastic device that provides for a varying degree of ankle stretch in a rocker cradle that holds one’s foot in the same place, but it can be rocked backwards under one's control. It has forefoot & heal slots to provide foot support while allowing a controlled ankle calf to stretch so one doesn’t become off balance and potentially risk micro muscle tears. It’s called “Prostretch.” One website to get it is: www.medi-dyne.com One could probably find this on Amazon as well. Cheers!
These amazing tips are the best out there!! Great for flexibility, stability, strength… I sure could use all these moves before I begin each training . Such awesome channel. Your 2pups are adorable s❤
This is the video I needed!! Thank you so much for this and all that you do. This explains a lot clearly and is going to help me in my path of healing. Thank you thank you!!
Thank you so much for all your hard work in coming up with great excercises for mobility and flexibilty. It's difficult to find without proper explanation.ive been doing your 6 warm up excercises for mobility for almost a year and it has been so beneficial in my weight training.
ThIs vídeo comes in the perfect timing! With all these quarantine restrictions have in fact worsted some of my problematic areas because I tend to move less and event the gyms are closed... thx 🙏
I love your program; it is so easy to follow along! I will try this out tonight! I just have been lazy and not doing any of the exercises and I sure do feel it, but when I do I feel fantastic!
Watching this with a broken shoulder in my sling on my treadmill was doing overhead lat pull over and dislocated and broke my shoulder. Wish I had watched this back in December before I broke it
Do you know that she passively aggressively blocks older people who have illnesses and diseases when they say they’ve been advised against certain movements for logical protection? This woman sounds like someone who would just tell someone in a wheelchair that they can eat and exercise it away. Never seen such a fragile, immature, butthurt, negligent, downright ignorant supposed professional in this line of work before. Her unsolicited advice that dismisses actual medical professionals- which she’s not, is dangerous and pigheaded. I thought fitness people grew out of this sort of nonsense but not her. Gladly unsubbed. If she can’t act like an adult especially on subjects where she’s out of her depth and lane, that’s only going to bite her in the ass as word gets around. I’m embarrassed that I ever followed her and will gladly not ever undertake programs of someone who reckless and obtuse. She’ll tell you that macros and continuing to just push through your acute shoulder problems will fix everything.
This was top notch information and really helped bring some awareness to my training. Ah-ha's all over the place! Thanks so much for your passion for good information. Trainer to trainer, I know I can trust your information! Keep up the great work!
I do have workouts programmed out to do in my Dynamic Strength program if you want workouts and progressions designed to use! :-) redefiningstrength.com/dynamic-strength?sl=yc Glad you enjoy these moves and find them helpful!
Thanks for the video, always enjoy keeping up with you on each video which truly helps me remember to get the good stretching in before the day gets started as well as I winding down the day. Julian
Hello.just to say thank you for your knowledge. Need help on my knee feeling ache all time. Symptoms of runners knee. I still workout on it and do my best on exploring movements to ease pain after workouts. Icing all the time. Really hope you might be able to help. Thank you
I really enjoy these videos. I will be adding these exercises to my workouts, but have a question. Is there an alternate move to the bear squat with foot stretch. I have had a total knee replacement and not able to squat with me knees bent to that angle. Thanks so much
