The "Perfect" Neighbor

My wife and I raise Siberian Huskies and are frequently complimented on how quiet and well behaved our dogs are despite their ages and breed. We usually respond with something akin to "Thank you. We worked hard on their training and it's nice to hear someone noticed". One of the neighbors that regularly compliments us has a single dog (we have many) and it's a retriever (easy breed to train). It's behavior is not the best. Loud, somewhat aggressive, try's to go after other dogs while walking on leash etc. It takes quite a bit of restraint to not say to them "Train your dog!" Two months is all it would take for a reasonably intelligent retriever to be a good boy/girl. Some people want the dog but are unwillingly to put in any of the work. Bad pet owners. PS- Exercise your dogs regularly people. Many problems are often solved if the dog doesn't have a massive amount of excess energy due to lack of exercise.

My neighbors have like 3 dogs,3 kids and chickens.

This is my neighbors. I have six kids, if I can get a quiet moment out on my porch swing to collect my thoughts and peace of mind, the last thing I need is my neighbors four dogs barking nonstop at me. 🤦

I mean dogs bark. But there comes a point where it's just neglect

With many people, the dogs mostly bark when the humans aren't at home. When they are, the dogs don't have so much to bark at and the humans keep them in check. At least some of those people have no idea that their dogs are doing that because they never witness it.

Careful what you wish for, we have a handful of them and they’re the worst neighbors we have ever had.

@@theaterthug7 Believe it or not, there are loud parties and late hours of disturbances from these folks as well as the typical, old folks with dogs hassles.
